  • Seems the only downside is that they didn't necessarily revolutionise the open world bloat problem, but that's not really an issue for me as I don't really have the time to engage with most of that stuff.

Might be a day 1 pickup.

  • Can't wait to not be able to buy one of these for the next five years.

  • I think we'll see a significantly more pragmatic approach once the Tories are gone. I'd expect Labour and the Libs to be significantly more open to both healing our damaged relationships, and forging ahead with whatever comes next. The current lot seem to have wedded themselves to the idea that it's 'Us Vs Them' for the betterment of, well themselves.

  • Is it?

I voted remain and whilst I think most would agree it's not going great I'm not sure there's that much interest in rejoining right now.

There's a big difference between thinking it's going poorly and actively wanting to bring Brexit back in a similar sort of way to how it was between 2016 and 2020.

Not to mention that the idea that we rejoin the EU and suddenly everything goes back to being good again (because 2010 - 2015 was a lark for all of us right) seems utterly farcical to most.

We ain't rejoining. We should probably be thinking about repairing old bonds and moving closer to the wider EU community, but I don't even see anyone making it a part of their manifesto that we think about rejoining, heck even the Lib Dems seemed to have accepted that's not on the table right now.

  • The implication here is that in order to be considered a potential game of the year it has to hit some arbitrary player count?

I've played plenty of games over the last decade or so that an awful lot of people would never have played, let alone heard of but that shouldn't diminish someone's opinion of its quality.

  • Still think this is pretty bad for the space as a whole, but hey ho I guess.

  • Jesse J wrote a song about this. It's all about that sweet moolah; it can't be easy being an independent MP, especially given there's an election looming in the next year. That said, I don't think I can square-away this sort of flip-flopping.

  • Kind of expected this. I'll likely get it on sale, maybe after a few patches.

  • I mean, yeah. New housing is important, but if we're going to do it correctly then we need to ensure infrastructure is in place to support those new housing estates and that the locals have access to good quality schools and GPs and the like.

  • Could be wrong here but if she was to become an independent wouldn't she basically have to front all of her own costs when it comes to running for re-election and what not?

Personally I find all this stuff really distasteful. I don't understand how you become an MP of a party and then so quickly dissolve yourself of all the party stands for to then go play for the opposing team. Unless of course, you weren't all that bothered in the first place and merely used it as a jumping off point to earn £80k a year and have access to everything that comes with being an MP.

  • I've heard absolutely nothing about this and I'm not sure how I feel about that.

On the one hand maybe the reviews are going to blow me away and it becomes a day one buy... on the other I'm getting a little worried that it's being sent out to die.

  • I work warehouse. So firstly, solidarity with these guys.

...I had a colleague complaining about these guys when they were on strike a few months back. He couldn't comprehend that if these guys get some concessions back from Amazon, that it improves things for the rest of us.

Suddenly maybe taking the Amazon warehouse job makes sense, maybe my current employer finds it harder to get staff...maybe they then have to also improve working conditions for their staff.

  • One thing that really grinds my gears is when Starmer comes out and says he opposes the idea, not because it's horrific and makes the entire country look awful but because it's inefficient or ineffective.

  • I default to Sort By New and I can see posts from as recently as yesterday.

  • Not working. Partner is off and the eldest of my two kids is at school. In short...I'm hoping for a nice quiet day.

  • I wonder if this is less Sunak and more 'yeah we lent you our vote in 2019 to get this Brexit thing over the line but there's no way I'm giving it to you twice'?

Obviously Sunak is polling terribly, but I'm not sure he's done anything so egregious that he'd lose support so quickly, especially compared to Truss and BoJo before.

  • Yeah I should have emphasized that the string is perfectly taught, has no slack, isn't affected by things like the wind and can't break.

  • Not me. I operate a strict 'no heating until November rule'.
