You're getting down voted, but you're right. The actual lawmakers are probably more racially motivated. But based on my experience growing up in Alabama, most of the regular "pro-life" voters seem motivated by a genuine belief that abortion is murder.

The meme isn't really referencing the actor, but rather the character. Eliot might not be a woman, but the character is. When cis guys play female characters, we still refer to the character as female. I don't see why it should be any different when a trans guy plays a female character.

Unfortunately, it's really down to the residents of like 7 states. Residents of the other 43, functionally don't have a vote.

We can and should pressure put politicians to be better, but refusing to vote doesn't do that.

Because we have an unjust voting system, and petulantly refusing to vote can and will get people killed, and rights stripped from millions.
