  • Unfortunately emulation isn't all that great for these games on Deck. The PS2 versions are laggy. PS3 actually works a lot better than expected, although one of the final scenes in MGS3 has some slowdown. If this version can be fixed, it may be the best option for the deck. I'm definitely not paying the price they're charging though.

  • This made me wonder what is taught in schools now, and it seems pretty interesting actually: KS1+2, KS3+4

Definitely a lot more varied than I remember.

  • I'm not sure that's the message we really should be sending though. We shouldn't encourage huge studios to get away with this kinda laziness. I agree that they're some of the best games ever made, which is why I think Konami should treat the IP with a bit more respect

  • I understand, but I'm not sure I could justify spending even $45 on this. If they'd put a bit more effort into it sure, but this is purely a cash grab.

  • They were very good ports for the PS3 and 360. But Konami have just taken that and popped them on the marketplace without much in the way of work to make them suitable for PC players. Sure, it's great to finally have them available on PC, but if you're gonna put such little work in, the price they're asking isn't justified.

  • Yes I'm sure Valve will get Proton working, but regardless of the current Linux compatibility, these are lazy ports by Konami and they don't justify the price tag.

  • That's clever! For something where you need a keyboard constantly that seems like a good solution. (Although for a game like that I'd have thought an actual keyboard would be kinda the point lol)

  • Bark bark woof!

    *Mario ooooff noise *

    Bark!

  • Damn, I really want a decent way to play 2&3 on Deck. Given the lazy ports, I'm tempted to wait for some updates to fix things and then find alternative methods of obtaining these.

  • Thank you! I'll see if I can get it running at some point in the near future :)

  • Ah thanks - are you aware of any essential bug/stability fixes I should go for in particular?

  • The different mod loaders really confuse me. Do Vortex and MO2 offer pretty much the same thing? Will it show on Steam that I'm playing Skyrim/New Vegas etc. and log my hours ok (rather than saying I'm playing the mod loader)?

Follow up question: What mods should I get for Fallout NV if I were to try this out? (I've never actually finished that game)

  • The game looks ok, but you're just kinda spamming at this point? 🤷‍♂️ This is just an advert, not really a discussion.

  • What game is it?

  • The Steam controller seems great. I'd love Steam to bring out a V2, with all the buttons and trackpads of the Deck minus the screen. That would be perfect for playing whilst outputting on a TV.

And yeah, I can't believe it's free! I love dungeon crawl style games and this is just perfect.

  • Oh I see, many thanks for the clarification my good friend.

  • Ah, I was sent this by a friend and I didn't ask about the origin. But yeah I think you're right :'(

  • Lol, does the cat not mind being an arm rest?

  • What
