  • I am frankly shocked that the trans stuff apparently works, well enough to be a main thrust of an ad campaign. Like I fully get there's a subset of Americans who are not comfortable with the concept, dislike trans people, think it's immoral or whatever. But it's such a big deal to you that we need a particular political party in charge so they can ban stuff? I just can't relate to that. But it's common enough that they run these ads, it's either firing up true believers or actually converting people. Somehow.

  • Googling this, it seems like he's trying to EMPHASIZE Harris working there when she was younger. If he actually does this, it will backfire spectacularly.

If he says she's lying about working there, it just looks like an insane conspiracy theory because it's one of the most common jobs. It's not like an impossible thing.

If he tries to say it's easy so no one should be impressed with her, he just insults every fast food worker in America.

I think this is a really smart move if he never mentions Harris, it makes him look more down to Earth and humble which...he needs. If he's doing it as a commentary on Harris, it's going to backfire.

  • A majority of Americans didn't watch the first one so I'm not sure we can take this literally.

Sort of seems like "do you want a balanced budget" ...yes of course. "Do you want to raise taxes or cut spending to achieve that?" ...no I would never want either of those options.

People like the idea of debates but they don't impact the race unless someone truly bombs.

  • It all works without it being a specific conspiracy to create terrorists so I don't know why you added that part. Maybe he's just a piece of shit who does bad stuff that creates cohorts of people who hate him and America because he doesn't know about, think about, or care about them.

  • The metric you are using is not the metric the actual real world uses for center left. You are bringing your internet lefty definitions and declaring that I'm wrong to say only internet lefties would use them. Major parties in the middle of the political spectrum are not typically pushing for the overthrow of Capitalism.

  • Being left of center is not solely defined by being Marxist, and one country, even if it actually was Marxist and not 3 Capitalisms in a trenchcoat, would not define the standard of what constitutes "left" in the world.

I'm not saying Marxism isn't Left. I'm saying it's not literally the only thing that IS Left.

  • Ok I don't expect you to see it but this is exactly why I said it's a lie that online lefties tell themselves. Globally, in real life politics, yes you absolutely can be center-left without demanding the overthrow of Capitalism.

  • They want to use the power of government to reduce the harms of capitalism, via minimum wages, social safety nets, child tax credit, subsidizing more environmentally friendly energy production and electric cars.

No they are not as far left as you and the people you talk to online, I didn't say that. You are allowed to want different policies. You're just incorrect to call them right wing.
