Just a casual reminder that 20 years ago is 2004. Not trying to correct you or anything, just sharing in the existential dread I felt reading this.

I've definitely spent time in the past looking for a game probably exactly like this! I figured surely someone made this. I'll definitely set that aside to delve into later. Thanks!

Agreed. I prefer Parsec where available but Moonlight gets better performance on my Android TV box.

Season 1 was Family Guy Star Trek. It was okay but as I kept with it, they dropped some of the humor in favor of more dramatic issues. I enjoyed the later seasons but if they circle back to season 1, then they may as well just cancel it.

I'm a classic ____ and coke person myself, and I've settled with Evan Williams White label with RC Cola, almost indistinguishable from Jack and Coke for well under half the price at probably twice the ABV. And the more I drink, the less I care.

Yeah I get that there are many that feel that way. And I love RPGs, though my first was probably Diablo, which I played the hell out of. I just wasn't even aware of Elder Scrolls until Oblivion so it wasn't until later that I tried to go back and play it and it's just tough.

I really want to like it too. My first Elder Scrolls game was Oblivion which I loved and then of course Skyrim happened (multiple times).

I even tried going back to Oblivion, which I'll still play a bit out of nostalgia, but if I picked it up today I don't know if I would like it.

Morrowind.

Oh man I hated the combat system in the first Witcher so much they I ended up doing it completely. I even looked to see if there were any mods that overhauled the combat but unfortunately never found any.

This seems to match another trend that I feel like I've been seeing (though no real evidence). I know as we get older everything always seems to get worse, more expensive, shorter, etc. Though I genuinely feel like a lot of drivers are getting worse. I imagine it's due to an increase of instant gratification and heightened sense of entitlement. "IT'S MY TURN! YOU'RE GOING TOO SLOW! I'M GOING FASTER, I DESERVE TO BE IN FRONT OF YOU! I'M TRYING TO GET TO (some destination that's probably very similar to everyone else's destination) AND IT'S URGENT!"

Weirdly my range of responses have also increased. They range from 'unreasonable anger that someone can feel such entitlement' to 'oh well, I half expected that to happen'. I try to lean towards the latter, which actually helps me to be a better driver. I usually always say 'a safe driver is a predictable driver', but also supplement that with 'just assume everyone around you is stupid and will make bad decisions'. Ironically, the bad drivers tend to be the most easily predictable.

Damn, I got excited when I thought the article implied he was charged for tax fraud.

Which is extra ironic considering the parallels between anti-vax and early 1980s anti-seat belt protests.

I'm genuinely curious, to what are you referring when mentioning Windows, Discord, Nvidia, etc.? I know Windows is an entirely separate conversation but do Discord and Nvidia serve ads now and I'm just not seeing it because of my Pihole?

Pihole alone does not block YouTube ads for me.

Edit: And uBlock alone does not block ads within mobile apps.
