  • It's definitely a home made and personal distinction but basically for me pop-punk is reserved for the ones I don't like haha. It has a negative side so I needed another term for the (admittedly) pop punk bands that I do like. Again you're probably right, that's just the way I do it internally. And I just use it to describe the sound, Millencollin for example is Swedish. Also there's bands like bad religion that still kinda have that sound but I wouldn't dare classify them under "pop", I'm sure NOFX would take an issue with it too, etc.

  • I've never stopped listening to "Cali punk" so I'm good to go (I don't care if green day is really from California or not, that's what I call the happy poppy punk that's not crusty enough to be called punk without a qualifier: NOFX, Offspring, Blink 182, Millencollin, etc etc).

  • Allons*

  • I love that one. I'm right in thinking it's specifically tap water, right? (As in the water provided by the council, you wouldn't use it for Evian or whatever).

  • Yeah it's probably the most linked xkcd with some margin, would be fun to see the traffic data to that page.

  • Or watched jackass.

  • Same in french, "un pénis", but "une bite".

  • Imagine industrial revolution Roman Empire, thank fuck they didn't connect the dots.

  • Dunno about favourite but I recently watched the surfer and it kinda hit a weird spot I didn't know I have. Was pretty good.

  • I think (hope) they were making a funny.

  • Honest attempt. 7.5/10.

  • Yep I have a kid and run my own business which is very demanding. I'm always strapped for time and I still find a little bit for gaming here and there. I do have to select for low investment games like rocket league, indie games, etc. I wish I could play WoW all day but that's a bridge too far.

  • Uhh...

  • Good eye!

  • When's the last time of these sky rats swung someone into a wall though. I'd say that counts for at least 5 chips.

  • In Europe many countries have a mandatory sticker/magnet with a red "A" on white background to signal new drivers. You take it off after 2 years.

  • Yes it's the right long term goal, but the US is nowhere near ready for strong nationalised enterprises, they would just stop getting funding and die. There is a requirement for strong, positive minded government and a shared understanding of the benefits of having nationalised societal services before it can work.

  • Olive in french. Boring word I guess.
