  • The problem is not touchscreens. It's the awful implementation. I have a Tesla(never again, ugh) and a Hyundai Ioniq5.

The Tesla has a fantastic touchscreen that integrates well with the car. Also no display behind the wheel. I'm tall, I can't see it.

Hyundai the rear seat warmers are buttons. My passengers are happy. The driver's warmer is buried in a touch screen menu. Which would be fine but the shitty screen takes a minute to boot up which means I can't adjust my seat until I've already driven off and now it's dangerous and fiddly.

In summary: I don't mind if it's touchscreen or not, it has to be fast and reactive.

  • French cars have tiny cupholders that don't fit any takeaway cups. My Renault is infuriating if I have either a takeaway or a mug. I've had to buy a particularly narrow thermos cup to fit it.

  • That would require Trump to trust Vance. The absolute split second that Trump is out of power, everyone will turn on him. There's no such thing as loyalty, just self interest.

  • Trump will inherent all the work Biden's administration did and some Trump policies will create short term boom. This is what a lot of people will notice.

The tough times will come a little later.

  • We had a referendum on ranked choice voting (referred to as AV at the time) here in the UK some years ago. The campaign against it was shocking. Well funded and extremely vocal. Bizarre lies and misinformation.
