If it's acceptable...

  • It feels like to me you are humanising then too much.

I did no such thing, all I'm saying is that needless killing is bad, do you not agreee?

In the wild they spend their time on the brink of starvation and living in constant fear of being killed for food.

The animals you eat are not animals taken from the wild and put into cozy little homes where we protect them, farm animals are specifically bred in horrible conditions, abused, raped and killed.

They aren’t humans so comparing them to slaves doesn’t really work.

They are individuals, have you ever met a dog? they certainly have personalities and experience life much like we do.

Besides, slave isn't a term limited to humans:

    slave
    slāv
    noun

One who is owned as the property of someone else, especially in involuntary servitude.

    ...and humans are animals.

If we lived in a post apocalyptic world...

Again, these animals are bred and killed because people pay for it.

  • Lions don't have a choice, humans do, we can easily thrive without animal products.

Local says nothing about how they are treated and even if they are treated better than in factory farms it's still needless killing for profit/taste, that's cruel.

They are bred to be abused and killed for profit, providing your slaves shelter and food doesn't make it okay.

  • I think most people agree animal cruelty is not acceptable.

That's not reflected in their actions tho, most people eat meat several times a day, which is animal cruelty.

  • I'm glad companies are pulling out of X but I've never understood this reasoning for removing your ads tbh.

Every single person who sees your ad knows that it has just been served by the website and has nothing to do with the post/content or author.

Like on youtube, why do companies not wanna advertise on a video with cussing? We all know that the language used in the video has nothing to do with the ad playing before.

  • Fairphone costs more because they give a shit about their impact and workers, of course it's not the best bang for your buck when they gotta spend more money paying their workers fairly instead of squeezing as much profit as they can.

That does not make it a scam in any way.

  • Firefox doesn’t implement the AudioData API, which is probably necessary for the waveform viewer and cropping tool Discord presents in the soundboard management UI.

Not everything is about Chrome DRM yall.

Edited to add screenshot of spoofing user-agent on Firefox and getting an error:

Here’s what happens when you spoof a Chrome user-agent.
