I was quite surprised to see coffee on the list. There's only 1 state far enough south to grow coffee (Hawaii).
That means they import the beans grown elsewhere for processing.

It turns out that Folgers does its roasting and packaging in New Orleans. It's unclear where the beans are from, but I'm sure it's "everywhere".

To my friends in Canada, take this opportunity to upgrade from Folgers.

Apple would probably setup a subsidiary company, let's call it Apple Canada, to operate the official app store for Canadian users. They would then funnel that money around the world to get it back to the parent company with little/no tax paid.

Related, Pirate Bay used to (might still?) have a section where they mock all of the threatening letters that cite a different jurisdiction. Usually the US DMCA, but also similar laws from other countries.

They never posted any letters that cited Swedish (IIRC) law, because those were valid threats.

I'm interested in knowing more about where you worked that had that detailed of an evacuation plan. I know that emergency services (police, etc) do that in case a call comes in, but that's not exactly an evacuation.

The Tesla connector was NOT openly available until late 2022, and wasn't a fully published standard until 2024. They originally wanted a hefty licensing concession from other vendors. Specifically, they would only license it if they joined a patent pool.

In fact, the current NACS connector isn't even electrically the same as the one Tesla used in 2021. Superchargers are backwards compatible, but they have to support multiple standards. It also means that older Teslas can't use the growing network of NACS chargers without an upgrade.

DDG and Ecosia are proxies for Bing. I didn't check, but I'm guessing the others are too. Most "independent" search engines are.

The major exception is Startpage, which is a proxy for Google.

There is 0% chance that it could ever be limited to noncitizens, nor is that even a goal. The surveillance network is being setup to monitor everyone.

As someone who's been in a similar situation (they split, but couldn't afford to move out), I don't recommend it. Shortly after we split, they got back together.

The entire situation was a heavy drag on our (short) time together, and is certainly a factor in why we didn't work out.

Where does 'separated' come into it? This sounds like an open relationship. Assuming the other party actually knows, which is doubtful.
