I want to be offended, but people that have seen me criticise Gimp have called me so many worse things, that with "pleb" I don't feel anything anymore.
Try at least mentioning that I'm an Adobe abused demented slave or something of sorts.
Gimp sucks. That's why people on Linux rather use krita to edit photos and it wasn't even built to do that.
Gimp is a horrible mistake that should literally be killed off and it should be put into a failure museum to serve as a warning and a reminder how Foss can take a wrong turn and many free development hours are spent towards building the wrong things and continue to disappoint any user that tries it.
It's not intuitive. Especially having so much of it. I don't know, I'm not a physicist, the modified gravity made more sense to me, even though it seemed unlikely for a time. It's again more popular today.
I don't understand either, but dark matter always seemed unlikely to me. It doesn't make sense that we couldn't see it and the particles that could explain it seemed like they were invented just to justify dark matter. When I heard of modified gravity it just feels more plausible. Plus it was fun in the last years because there has been a lot of back and forth between supporters and those who want to disprove it.
Now this! Cant wait to watch this on Sabine hossenfelders channel!
You missed the point again, oh dear!
Let me try again in simpler terms : you yourself dont define words, how they are used in the public does. So if the world calls it ai, then the word will mean what everybody means when they use it.
This is how the words come to be, evolve and are at the end put in the dictionary. Nobody cares what you think. Ai today includes ML. Get over it.
Nice try with deflection attempts, but I really don't care about them, I'm only here to teach you where words come from and to tell you, the article is written about you.
Well not at all. What a word means is not defined by what you might think. When the majority starts to use a word for something and that sticks, it can be adopted. That happens all the time and I have read articles about it many times. Even for our current predicament. Language is evolving. Meanings change. And yes ai today includes what is technically machine learning. Sorry friend, that's how it works. Sure you can be the grumpy drunk at a bar complaining that this is not strictly ai by some definition while the rest of the world rolls their eyes and proceeds to more meaningful debates.
I'm sure Chinese scientists manage to develop a lot of things, but usually the bombastic articles like this one turn out to be false. In my subjective experience they turn out to be bs.
The could be many reasons for that and I don't care to think about that, because I have shared my experience, if you have some best insight into that, you are welcome to share, unless it's as dumb and dull as to call me racist.
Trans people can still enjoy sports and compete on other levels as well as be a part of it in many other ways. Competing in sports for sure isn't a healthy path to gender selfactualization. Not only because of the public resistance to change in established categories.
Why beat a dead horse? :)
