Honestly it was a lot of fun though I really enjoyed every moment of it. The fact that there are replacement parts available takes a lot of the real stress away from it for me
I havent done many shell swaps but ive torn down my fair share of electronics I have to say the screen is the hardest part on this everything else was pretty straight forward unscrew and unplug ribbon cables (and remember to actually put them back…) im doing some controller shell swaps real soon here though so thatll get me a little understanding on where the SD stands. It did take me 5 hours but I was being quite careful and taking my time id be fairly confident in taking it apart again and I plan to swap in some hall effect sticks or maybe mess with the triggers a little
screen was definitely the hardest part. Fortunately worst case scenario is you buy a replacement screen that’s available! That’s actually what gave me the confidence to do it, knowing that if I bork anything up that replacements are available, improvements even
it’s definitely closer to teal rather than actual emerald. I think Jsaux did the the color better they just dont have a faceplate in that color as well
As someone who advises on and implements software at work that would be sorta ok if these companies charging several thousand a year would actually fix bugs and provide proper support. Zendesk is a pretty big display of this: feature requests lay dormant in their support pages, the only way you can get support is through a chat where the rep will point you to an article you already read most of the time, updates that ever obfuscates settings into a dizzying amount of menus in the admin panel, and so on. All for a minimum of $55 a month per seat if you want email and calling. The issue is costs are sky high for practically no value
seriously this happens a lot people will go off and say word for word that a whole group of people are evil and bad when its a subset of a group. When called on it they may simply say that its not talking about the group as a whole or “not for you” if they dont genuinely believe the whole group is bad (which is wrong and discriminatory)
The issue is the discrepancy of what you say in relation to what you mean will lead others to believe in what you say but not what you mean and this harms those just trying to survive normally.
