  • Mine flags my rent payment literally every month when I buy a money order at the Walmart less than a mile from my house. This has been to the same merchant on the same date for almost four years. Even so, they have never once flagged any of my travel.

    I’ve started just using the ATM in Walmart and paying cash, because a $1k ATM withdrawal is fine, and they refund ATM fees.

  • No. They are very racist against minority democrats in front of me. Being a conservative makes someone “one of the good ones”. I’m not justifying or excusing their behavior. Just providing some insight as to their priority ladder of hate.

    • Somehow, TikTok is sending me notifications even though I don't have the app. And in order to disable them I have to install it.

  • This tracks. I have some republicans in the family, and they aren’t super racist against conservative voting non-whites. Democrat is a much worse word to them than Black or Mexican.

  • Arch Linux Desktop for coding and gaming, MacBook for mobile productivity. Best of both worlds.

    I know with 100% certainty that if my MacBook did a thing last week, it will do it tomorrow. No lost files due to updates, no weird crashes, no ads, no candy crush. If I’m out somewhere, that reliability is worth the premium. And, at least on Mac computers, you can unlock the walled garden if you really need to.

    There is no use case for windows in my workflow. Might not be true for everyone though.

  • Same with the seatbelt. Perhaps because it’s not a standalone activity, but a part of the already manually engaged “do car” process.

  • Cinnamon here too. I haven’t tried them all, but it’s support for fractional scaling is the best I can find.

  • Are you me? I did the cd drive thing in high school too. The computers in the lab were numbered, so I did a timer to do them to the first bars of La Cucaracha
