  • When possible JetBrains IDEs. The downside of this: other (has not tested that much to be honest) IDEs can feel like better text editors or outdated IDEs...

Why: They feel like every important aspect of development is thought through and covered in a good to very good manner or there is an addon for the missing aspect. The stable version almost never has any problems...

    I think thats it.

  • Well I use Linux, but not on my gaming pc. I would switch to it because its all amd, but I don't want to because it lacks the driver suite for my gpu (adrenaline) and I don't want to install a bunch of small applications to gain a small fraction of options it offers.

It's a pitty. Because I realy want to ditch windows since its newest iteration.

  • Hm... Ok. Thats crazy. Someone wants to create a new branch of income it seems.

Thats a fucking shame. Now I need to reconsider my plans to buy Borderlands4.

But how will they do it? Which information is gathered from which source? Most of my accounts only hold as little informations as possible. Also my Os knows nothing about me. My MS account neither.

On the other hand my steam 2FA need some mobile information.

  • 79,99€ in Germany

I am interested, but not that much to pay more than 20€ in a sale in a few years. It was the same with Doom Eternal. And I haven't bought it to this day 😅

Maybe it will never be bought 🤷🏻‍♂️

  • Jup, I watched it without sound first. After reading your comment, I rewatched it with sound. I missed nothing the first time 😅 I hope when its time to heat the marketing machine for release there will be a much better choice...

  • You could create a fresh container, install docker, and create a new template image from it. This way the overhead of installing disapears. The overhead in resource usage for each docker installation would remain the same as before.

As mentioned in another reply, you could run several container in one lxc. For example with docker compose or podman. Since I have no experience with podman but with docker compose, docker compose is pretty simple.

But all in all, I prefer to install everything "bare metal" in lxc containers. The main reason is, I don't want to mess around with the extra layer of configurating ports etc.

  • Just to throw another option in: Lxc are containers too. And they are the other major option proxmox comes with.

It feels more like bare metal installations, but are more lightweight and share there ressources they do not use.

I never got why having Proxmox and one VM with several docker containers except I absolutly don't want to deal with installations at all.

On the other hands I wanted to learn about linux and the basics of handling proxmox.

  • What does this mean to the game on steam? Only delisting from the shop but still downloadable? Or will it be taken from my Library? I haven't bought it yet, because I never heard of it. But it looks fun... So maybe while the sale goes on?

  • Yeah, like DNU said, something more grindy. Or something difficult. So more like PoE where you can play thousands of hours without seeing everything or knowing everything. Or like Black Desert Online with its afk mechanics. Or a game with a lot rng like dwarf fortress or rimworld.

Or speedrunning stuff. But some kind of idle... 😅 indeed unexpected.

Well maybe it is because said games are my timesinks... Even though I haven't played any game as long as he/she did.
