56.6 is more than 30% more than 43.4. ie, 30% more people voted yes than voted no. that's at the very least a substantial margin.

I've never understood taxidermy. I keep some pictures of one of my dead cats in the wall/as a wallpaper on my phone, and it still is sometimes upsetting to see him and remember that he's gone.

yeah, i came here to post that she is not the person to voice this. anyone currently supporting trump isn't going to suddenly switch sides to his opponent in the original race, it actually just weakens the argument.

I think most species probably align themselves to either the galactic plane or prominent orbital plane of the local star system.

the "up" & "down" directions would be completely arbitrary, though. there's no reason to think everone would decide on a standard for those.

and species without that certain sense of appropriateness, or an overt dedication to logic, would likely not bother with a standard orientation. and especially when in orbit over a planet, I think everyone would orient their "down" towards the surface.
