  • Maybe he's happier as the goblin. Has anyone asked his opinion?

This is why witches get a bad rep. Everyone jumps to "Oh, she bound his soul into a doll", like, have you seen the world around you?

What sounds more appealing, this hellhole, or getting carried around and snuggled for eternity?

Fuck it, putting myself in a doll, someone come pick me up.

  • I take it as their distorted reflection of themselves in that moment, starting to regain their humanity in their own eyes.

As their (assumed) partner said, "you don't look like a deer to me". Taking that with some assumed weight, we're looking at how this person sees themselves. Something weak, helpless, prey. They can't do anything besides try to keep surviving.

It's in taking the time with others, being treated as a person, they begin to feel it, see it once again.

  • She'd do more than steal it. She'd silently stalk you for it. I still don't understand how an animal that large can move in absolute silence, but if a horse does not want to be heard, you aren't hearing them.

That's how she got the pie the first time. My grandfather foolishly put his Pepsi up on the gatepost, and she stole that while he fixed the gate. She got the pie when he turned around to yell for my grandmother to come over, and he didn't feel her take it out of his pocket. Just turned around, and she was chewing.

  • There is never a quiet moment with horses. They're naturally curious, can be extremely playful, and aren't known for their subtle personalities.

You know a horse loves you, because you're going to have that full head shoved against your torso. You're going to get your head shoved into a nostril. You might get flipped into the water trough, and laughed at.

  • There's also Mini Motorways. Same concept, different pieces. Heavily recommend both, both can scratch those "I just want to have a chill time" and "I wanna optimize and challenge myself" itches.

Super easy to pick up, spend your lunch break placing lines, and go back to whatever you were doing.

  • Horses will eat anything.

I have cared for a horse that would steal your Cherry Pepsi, drink it all down, then consume a fruit pie, tin and all, with a smile on her face.

She, on more than one occasion, managed to steal hamburgers from people. Ate with gusto.

The old farm vet we had used to say horses were second to only pigs and goats, in that he had never seen a horse eat an entire Christmas ham, only half of one.

  • Sometimes it's all we can do to make it through, and to remember we do not walk alone. While we can't always see the ones who share our paths, there are still those happy to know we made it to the other side.

  • The Octuple Bypass could contain even more meat.

They're not pushing this far enough. Lard, beer, and tequila for your fries? And yet they are not served in the style of poutine, adding yet more cheese to the already bloating blockage you once called a colon?

And where. The. FUCK. Is my deep fried cookie dough lardshake‽ Their menu is a shame, a blight upon what should be delightful sacrifice to the Lords of Eternal Hunger.

  • I would go ahead and grab them, especially if they're also still on sale, as a lot is unlocked immediately(the three masteries, you can enter Forgotten Gods content at any point by talking to an NPC. AoM requires beating the base game to start its act).

  • I highly recommend grabbing at least Ashes of Malmouth and Forgotten Gods ASAP, if you find yourself enjoying the base game. Inquistor, Necromancer, and Oathkeeper really add to the build variety, and the expansion content itself is decently hefty and as well written as the base(which is absolutely great, especially for an ARPG. Dig into those lore notes you find!).

  • Grim Dawn. We're getting a new expansion sometime, and I'm fucking hyped, but I want to see more of Cairn. I want to see even more regions, I want to see time pass and how this world tries to recover, how far the gods have truly fallen, how far the Witch Gods may go now that things have broken so deeply.
