Do you think that our current iteration of A.I. can have these kinds if gains? Like, what if the extreme increase happens beyond our lifetimes? or beyond the lifetime of our planet?

Now it seems like UI's are embarressed to be on the screen at all. "oh, uh, I bet you wanted to see a picture of your game right? Or... netflix? Or... The store or something? Umm. Let me just give you all of your options in an order I think will be your 'favorite'"

Yeah. Adding new menu items looks complex, might require recompiling a custom retroarch build

I'm not surprised. RSA is deprecated as a public key method in openssh. There's no reiable implementation anywhere. Seems like IoT manufacturers consider security as an afterthought. Anyone pushing for anything other than ed25519 just wants to decrease your security footing

My experience with kodi is that it's over complicated, and not as robust as jellyfin. I would constantly nav into the wrong menu and the ui is clunky

Not everyone has gone to jail, but if the govt has your fingerprints it's easier to get convicted regardless of your innocence.

Clear Blue is like this, but they use your iris scan. You have to scan every time to skip the line. But the TSA precheck just fingerprints you once when you sign up IIRC

e.g. Period tracking apps being used as evidence when prosecuting people who seek abortions

A lot of people have just accepted surviellance for convienience.

People close to me get TSA precheck even though it requires fingerprinting, because "the government already has your fingerprints"

But if they did, why would they need to ask your for them?
