There has to be a mechanism to stop illegal orders from happening that has teeth. There isn’t one. Congress could try, but they haven’t been effective in over a decade.

The American experiment has been wildly successful for over two centuries. It’s now going to fail because the billionaires who captured it are too stupid and greedy to see the long term consequences of their actions.

There’s also a possibility that it’s a shock and awe campaign to get people scared enough to accept new “stability” laws that restore “law and order.”

He’ll talk about America annexing Gaza while everyone gets outraged, then “do a deal” with Netanyahu where Israel takes over, maybe with a side deal with another country to assist. Saudi Arabia, probably. Less forced relocation than before, etc.

The thing they planned on doing anyway will look better than Trump’s idiotic, headline-grabbing fake idea. And the press, Dems, and general public will continue to fall for this trick every single time for the next 4 years.

Make a deal to promise California will keep making movies if Trump will give the federal aide they deserve. Everybody wins and makes headlines.

Routine is a helluva drug, especially when distractions are used to cope with the slow, general collapse of everything all around you.

The problem is that these old sources of information are poisoned and will be more so each passing day. The longer people keep Reddit and other compromised information sources as a part of their routine, the more the poison will creep in.

The clouds are smoke from all the money they burned. The mountains are where they’re building a trillion dollars in power plants to power their bloated, hallucinating nonsense.

Imagine what might have happened if OpenAI stayed a non-profit and worked on cost-effective R&D instead of chasing hype and dumb money investors with a rushed product.

Trump is doing a tariff dance in the press to manipulate the market, while Fuhrer Musk is taking control of the actual power in government, the purse strings.

Honestly, that’s not a bad deal. The US gets fentanyl enforcement. Mexico gets the flow of guns slowed, which weakens the cartels.

The tariff thing was a silly dance to get there, though. Makes me wonder if that wasn’t market manipulation. Knowing the tariffs would hit in the morning, then get lifted before enforcement would have made it very easy to play the market for a ton of money.

Smedley Butler was a hero on so many levels, a modern day Cincinnatus. He proved himself in battle again and again, and the rich and powerful offered him a throne. He turned it down, because he was a decent man. A man of conscience.

The US is an immigrant nation built on the genocide of natives. Anti-immigration sentiment is based on an ignorance of history and the modern workforce of the country.

Crackdowns on undocumented workers will destroy the local agricultural industry. The US and its food supply are completely dependent on migrant labor.

And yes, it’s deeply hypocritical to genocide a population, steal their land, then act like people who came from elsewhere a few generations later to work are an existential problem.

Germany can lead the way. They can become the new leaders of the free world.

When people are struggling economically, they’re looking for a change candidate. Running on everyone being better off than their actual bank statements and credit card bills say was always a shit strategy. Cozying up to Liz Cheney and her lot was secondary to that.

Elon’s work force reduction method is simple. Force everyone to return to office full time; increase hours and responsibilities with no corresponding increase in pay; and offer severance packages to employees who won’t put up with this treatment, then don’t actually pay them.

I hope the governments workers’ union is strong and has some teeth. They’re going to need it.

I’m torn, because these giant companies are inherently evil, but at least they’re bucking the trend and standing against oppression and fascism.

“Long term profitability” isn’t the most noble motive, but at least they’re doing something. I guess dark times make strange allies.
