Ukraine is probably about to get cut off entirely by the US and risk being overrun, which could trigger a European invasion by Russia. Putin has moved Russia to a total war economy, and it will collapse the second they stop fighting. Ukraine is the front line of the defense of western democracies.

Lack of socializing. We’ve lost the third place in modern society. It’s work and home and nothing else. Lots of people work from home now, which is great, but only if you have a third place. You have to meet people in the real world and find a way to connect with them.

People laugh, but churches are a good way to do that. Check one out, sit in the back, and watch the people who show up- the demographics, make sure the congregation is diverse, etc. If you see a same-sex couple walk in and sit down like they’ve done it a hundred times, you don’t have to worry about all the hate bullshit.

Church is a great way to meet people in a place where everyone feels safe and accepted. They are extremely welcoming to newcomers. There are always activities and groups to join. Churches have been the third place for literally centuries.

Even if you have irreconcilable philosophical differences, check out a Unitarian church.

That would be up to the Supreme Court. What’s your level of confidence in them to enforce the law against billionaires these days?

Madness inflicting the nation as the mad king takes his throne. Trump isn’t even remotely equipped to handle this. I wonder what happens when the right turns on him.

Trump didn’t even hesitate to kiss the ring. Immigration is his number one issue. He killed the bipartisan bill to run on it. Elon snaps his fingers, and Trump publicly supports his pro-immigration position, which legitimately devalues American workers to create indentured servitude for highly-skilled workers from abroad. The H1B guys were the ones working at Twitter until 2am, while their boss was on drug binges, and sleeping in cots in their offices.

I don’t think Trump even kissed Putin’s ass this much. I hate Trump, but I never thought of him as not having balls, especially against a fucking moron like Elon.

We’ll see how idiotic and servile the Supreme Court will be under Trump. Good to know early on.

Trump is going to realize very quickly that musk is a massive liability and, worse than that is his mind, wants to run the show himself.

The fallout between the two of them will be fun to watch. I predict musk will find out very quickly that “his” people on Twitter are actually Trump people.
