Common bad faith argument from anti-AI Trolls claiming everyone who doesn't agree with them is using an LLM to write their comments or just is an LLM.

I don't think it's anywhere near as common as you're trying to say it is, this is a common anti-AI rhetoric and it either comes from baseless fearmongering or people who do it themselves and believe everyone else does. I've been baselessly accused of viewing and making AI CSAM and even accused of having an "AI shotacon avatar" by anti-AI dipshits trying to bully me off the platform. Which already makes me question the frequency of how much this actually happens for real.

The arguments against preemptive bans feel petty and are coming from a place of someone who hasn't moderated. You're basically saying that as a mod if I see someone being a troll, or brigading, or saying (threatening) they're going to that I should just sit by and wait for them to do so. Especially when a large proportion of these trolls are willing to go above and beyond to be hurtful and spiteful.

People want to be shitheads they should expect to find themselves banned from places they never heard of for being shitheads. Don't like it? Stop being a shithead. And yes that does include obvious forms of brigading like going to someone's profile and downvoting every comment they posted, or downvoting every post in a community, or downvoting all the comments under a post.

What about the rule change we voted on a while ago maybe even if it's not AI specific that should be included there.

It has, but the rules section doesn't clarify brigading Anti-AI or otherwise as one of the big no-no topics. We did vote on a change to the rules but it seems it wasn't implemented yet. Maybe @db0@lemmy.dbzer0.com or @Flatworm7591@lemmy.dbzer0.com just hasn't gotten around to it yet but it would help in terms of it being known that we mean business.

This instance currently allows new community creation, however the following subjects are explicitly not allowed as communities.

• Nothing positive or promoting cryptocurrency, blockchain or NFTs
• Nothing extreme-right-wing. This includes conspiracy theories, SovCit, Pro-Police, AnCaps etc. We’ll know it when I see it, don’t test us!
• No anti-science topics.
• No Tankie shit.
• No TERFs.
• No Porn.

Preferably you’ll stay within the topics endorsed by this instance (see first line)

I think that the AI friendly nature of our instance needs to be clearly written in our instance sidebar (@db0@lemmy.dbzer0.com and @Flatworm7591@lemmy.dbzer0.com can help with that) which would help out since the instance sidebar is visible in all dbzer0 communities which are remote. It should probably also be included in the application prompt as a disclaimer, since I'm seeing a lot of dbzer0 people who signed up and are complaining about AI (guys what the fuck are you doing here on an AI instance if you hate AI).

Also moderation, moderation is the only real way to deal with the Anti-AI brigading and trolling. Preventative moderation can also be used as well if things get bad enough and/or don't improve.

I think this is a nice gesture but I also think it's way too charitable for the Anti-GenAI people currently complaining. Their issue isn't that they want to avoid it, they want to stamp it out, they want it gone. They're not going to hide posts or keywords, they're going to brigade them. They already brigade and harass explicitly GenAI communities and don't block them. They've harassed me multiple times, told me to die in DMs and even impersonated me for running such communities. Tagging isn't going to help, they're just going to use it to hunt down people who post it and brigade the posts or target the users, because they aren't angry that they are seeing it, they're angry that it exists and they wish to stamp it out, no matter the cost.

In short this is a good solution with good intentions but it assumes a level of good faith that just isn't there. I'd agree with this if the problem was really people just not wanting to see it, but the problem is much deeper. I'm sure that once people start doing it, the goal posts will be moved and they'll just stop using "untagged" as a reason for complaining.

Grad is defederated here thankfully, it's possible from the thread they made on !chapotraphouse@lexbear.net that they'll defed from dbzer0 in the future, so at least here on dbzer0 it might not be an issue for much longer.

I may have been a bit hyperbolic calling Germany a 'police state' at the same time not exactly since places where you can be arrested for non-violent speech are not far off from police states. Some people don't believe it's that bad but I've heard horror stories of these laws being used against people the government disagrees with. That has happened and will happen again.

Unless you're defending or justifying Germany's legislated Zionism that's unlikely. Rule 2 doesn't forbid people from defending Germany it only forbids defending Zionism, Zionist practices, Zionist laws, which can in some cased be thought of as defending Germany. CyberEgg certainly thought so, but he quickly started accusing me of genocide and antisemitism when I pointed out the comment he was banned for so...

They're separate because at the moment there's a lot of people who are intentionally or unintentionally confusing Anti-Zionist movements with antisemitism. Antisemitism is hate speech and bigotry which is banned under rule 1. Zionism and it's corresponding genocide denial is also hate speech but is separated into its own rule for clarity and to also make it clear that polite or "civil" Zionism isn't welcome either. That's where we get the people arguing that 'you should feel hypocritical for supporting Greta Thunberg because [Something Anti-Zionist she said]'.

I stumbled across this post and I'm not a sh.itjust.works user but I'll just say I do think their behavior is bad and problematic here, especially for a general european community. Ultimately it is their instance so they will do things however they want which is why I created a European community that isn't on their instance and thus won't be subject to the problematic biases brought about by extremely overzealous German law and its associated compelled speech. !europe@lemmy.dbzer0.com

He absolutely doesn't want to get rid of them, just make large corporations immune from claims or maybe even able to take copyrights away from others. Abolishment of copyright goes against these people's core beliefs of control, they don't want copyright gone, they wish to control it.
