That is the stupidest reasoning for this. Line 5 shuttles Canadian oil, from Canada snaking its way through Wisconsin, Through Michigan’s UP, under the Great Lakes, through Michigan’s LP to refineries in Canada on the other side…
None of that reduces US foreign energy dependence.
Fun fact! Pizza is already plural. The singular is a piz, which is where we get the English word “piece”, because pizza come pre-portioned. The word “peace” also comes from the same derivation, because it is impossible to go to war while enjoying a piz of pizza.
There is something similar but not quite. Masa is made from nixtamalized corn, but the process to make fresh masa means pulverizing the moist kernels into a dough. Then, to store for later use, the dough can be dried and ground into a flour: masa harina (literally “dough flour”).
