  • We'll pay more for less in terms of software, and we'll pay more for more in terms of hardware, but nearly everybody would happily buy less. For example, the cheapest phones will be $1k+ but with unused bells and whistles, and there will be a subscription paywall to use Google maps.

We'll have less privacy and security. Our devices will be used to spy on us even more than now.

PlayStation 6 will come out. The next Xbox will have a really fucking stupid name. Call of Duty will be a 250GB game.

It will become more feasible to implement battery tech in your home. Generators will give way to a big battery for power outages. Areas with variable power rates will see people supplement their home power with battery during the day and charge them back up at night. EV adoption will continue to rise. Self driving tech will not change in a meaningful way. Fusion power will be commercially implemented, but barely break even, which is fine because that's how new tech takes early steps to optimize.

China will be far and away ahead of the US in terms of infrastructure, daily consumer tech, and overall happiness. The US will pretend otherwise and launch a targeted propaganda campaign to keep its people too dumb and busy to notice how badly they're getting fucked. But even worse than now, though.

Healthcare tech will expand. But not in the US. Not for the working class, anyway. Measles outbreaks will come in waves. Flu and a new covid strain will be devastating within 18 months. Polio will pop back up like measles currently is. Maybe TB too. Mental health will continue to get stigmatized if not fully ignored.

Physical media will be basically gone. Disc drives will as rare as actual audio CDs are in everyday life.

Lab grown meat will be more affordable, and it will bring a culture war with it.

  • Trump: "I'm gonna do [blank]."

    Me: "He's gonna do [blank]."

Redcaps: "He's not gonna do [blank], idiot!"

Trump: "We have done [blank] and are committed to accelerating the [blank] policy."

Redcaps: "omg, we had no idea that he would actually do [blank]! This is horrible!

Me: "Okay, so are you gonna denounce that at all? Maybe think twice about whether you support a thing that he tells you he's gonna do going forward?"

Redcaps: "What? Why? It's actually good and smart that he did [blank], and you're an idiot loser for still thinking about that. Also everything in my life is bad and getting worse, and it's the fault of the party that currently wields no power. The party currently in power which is famous for staunchly opposing change will be the key to changing the trajectory of my life."

How are these people not developing an ounce of critical thinking skill? I didn't think you needed to be a genius to display basic pattern recognition. A dog can do that effortlessly.

  • It's almost like he's a lying narcissist or something. He'll say whatever will get him closer to his goals with absolutely zero intent on keeping his word, and by the time even 20% of the country has caught on, he's already several grifts and/or scandals downstream. If anybody does manage to confront him on it and demand an explanation, he just lies and changes the subject.

    Promises made, promises delivered.

I truly don't understand how he isn't running out of rubes. He's been very publicly exposed as the con man he is for over a decade now. His marks keep getting fucked over and are complaining about it. How are so many people still falling for his bullshit?

  • I hereby accuse Donald J Trump of being an illegal immigrant. As he is not afforded due process to prove that he is a legal citizen, I demand that he be deported to the prison in El Salvador since he's also a convicted felon.

  • They are so fucking dumb. USPS vehicles are maybe the most perfect usecase for EV implementation. They're typically shorter range, constantly stop-and-go, smaller and lighter than most modern cars, and a shitload of the existing fleet is like 50 years old and badly needs a refresh anyway. And now that the money has been spent on developing and introducing this great idea, they just want to trash it?

How the fuck does anybody get away with calling Republicans fiscally responsible without getting their ass kicked? In my lifetime, every Republican president has fucked the economy and every Democrat president has unfucked it. The spiteful ratfuckery can't be accepted anymore.

  • Wait, are you saying that action was taken to prevent shooters from entering legislative buildings to attack politicians? Oh boy, I bet that means that the same or similar action has been taken to prevent shooters from entering schools to attack children.

No? Well whose job would that be? Those politicians, huh?

Well then I guess this is gonna be as normalized as school shootings until they do something to meaningfully reform gun control.

  • What a fucking ghoul.

"It's a tragedy that this happened to anybody, and it's a disgusting attack on the fundamental tenets of democracy that this happened to elected leaders."

Was that so hard? Go ahead, staffers. Copy and paste that. Apparently it's better than any of you can do.

  • On a totally unrelated note, I'm pretty sure he's going to a theatre to see a play at some point soon. Maybe tonight? I don't think it's a comedy, but there's an opportunity for somebody to do the funniest thing possible. Double funny if their name is Mario.

  • They say "we need to expand our tent" but they're only willing to erect tent poles on the right. Everybody left of center is left out in the rain.

How dope would it be if the future were that AOC is the moderate, establishment Dem leader of the House uniting further left Dem reps with other moderate reps like herself. Because in reality, she and Sanders are pretty centrist, but they're painted as extreme far left because the wealthy are afraid of how effective they are.

  • Pastor Deborah Dallas wrote a book called Nothing But The Truth, and the only reason I know this is because I get half a dozen calls every day from people trying to get a distribution deal or film rights. For years. I used to tell them that they have the wrong number. Now I just don't answer my phone. Every call from them gets blocked and reported. My number is on the do not call registry and I've never invited these fucks to call me.

I even got a text from a church one time asking if I was gonna make it to the upcoming Sunday service. I said idk, I got a lot going on right now. They freaked the fuck out on me lol. I told them to be more Christ-like, and to also understand that your plans will never supersede God's plans. Then I gave them Bible study homework for being rude to me.
    That was a fun interaction.

  • Okay, but on a timeline measured in years instead of quarters, it's really fucking stupid to punish the factory that churns out engineers for your war machines, right? The government funds STEM education, yielding STEM experts, yielding STEM productivity. Stop funding it, stop making STEM experts, vastly reduce STEM productivity. Pair this with massive reductions on immigrants (and torch the economy to lower desire to come here also) and how does this not lead to brain drain dark ages and empire collapse?

Is it more complicated than this? Am I missing something? Because usually when somebody thinks that everybody else is a fucking moron, they are the fucking moron, and I'm worried that maybe I'm just such a dumb fucking moron that I can't see what a dumb fucking moron I am.

  • Having a trip sitter would be ideal, but isn't fully necessary so long as you start small. Don't take more than 2 grams (assuming you're an average size adult male) and you'll be fine. You'll have some nausea which is normal, so don't eat a ton or drink anything acidic or bubbly before. The part of your brain that gets tickled for psychedelic effects is either the same or next door to the nausea part of your brain, so just get through the first wave of tummy gymnastics and the rest is therapeutic meditation. Watch clouds, look at bugs in the grass, touch tree bark. Be in our natural world. Just be somewhere safe and comfortable where you don't need to be concerned about being judged. Idk how people can enjoy it in a public setting lol. Or more often than like once per year.

It's been a while for me, but you bring things back with you from a trip. It helps you to tear yourself down so you can rebuild a little differently.

  • This is true. Teenage me only got snippets. I noticed the standardized metal road behemoths that people commanded at life-ending speeds, but otherwise just "plants pretty".
At 30+, I thought more about how I would interface with gods or aliens or both as an ambassador advocating for the continued survival of the species, and I saw that that's a tough fucking sell at this point. I explored my own role as a person and came to understand that somewhere along the line, I've somehow transitioned from being a child to an unqualified adult, and now to an accomplished provider with notable lived experiences. As a result, I've started to aim to live up to that a little better.

These people don't experience the ego death necessary to significantly grow. Mushrooms teach you to confront uncomfortable truths about yourself, and with some humility you may have an opportunity to reconcile to some degree. It's a tool, not a toy.

  • Citizens knowing more about the bills that reps vote on than the reps that vote on those bills defeats the purpose of those reps in the first place. They were supposed to know this shit for us. He's inexcusably unqualified if his constituents are educating him about the bill he voted for.

  • Great idea if your goal is brain drain and total collapse.

    1. Drastically reduce immigration.
    2. Skyrocket the cost of imported goods, even things we can't produce here (tropical fruit) and things we can't quickly scale up manufacturing for.
    3. Attack education centers which results in the people who are here not getting the education needed to be valuable, skilled labor (doctors, engineers, programmers, etc).
    4. ???
    5. America is grate aggin.
  • Well, he thinks that Mattel is a country and that Abrego Garcia literally has "MS13" tattooed onto his knuckles, so yeah, probably.

When he dies, I hope there's a full autopsy because I really wanna know wtf is going on with his brain. Frontal cortex must have been chewed up and spit out or something.
