  • The introduction to shaw was amazing! I felt very disappointed when he basically just abandoned his position as captain. I would expect some form of ceremony like "I am relieving you of your position as captain" "I stand relieved" and not just some luke warm takeover where he gets all pissy about it.

  • I try to never have favorites, but if I did, it would be a difficult choice between broccoli and Q

  • I'm on autopilot these days. I just stop things when it's time, even if my focus is still there. I try balance my chores so the house looks ok and I don't feel too guilty. I see people enough that I feel my social life is a thing. But I get a lot of alone time. Thats my most important time. I go to sleep usually around 21:30 - 22:30 but not strict about it. I sometimes get woken by nightmares or I'm just restless and I have a few hours awake in the middle of the night. But I eventually get enough rest on average and I manage fine.

My go to sleep routine is to cycle through Star Trek series. I've seen them all many times. It usually takes one or two episodes and sometimes I play on my phone at the same time. I watch from bed and if I wake from noise I switch it off and go back to sleep. The episodes don't autoplay, and if its been 30mins after one ends the computer goes to sleep automatically.

  • Its tricky with the image generation to get things looking right, so avoiding human faces: Salamander creature Janeway and Tom Paris have a family get together and do a typically human activity, like eat a meal at a table.

  • Thanks to all of you for making this my favorite sub. And I see you AD(H)D gang!

I made it through divorce, financial ruin, almost ending it all, and finally reaching peace and happiness again. Keep keeping at it! The fight is never over.

BTW look at this beautiful rainbow of nesting (if you're using the default web client)

  • This is an excellent photoshop. It's just missing some upscaling of the Q layer.

  • If they can assemble clones from pure energy as part of the teleporter process, like how a replicator makes food, then they can make 200 000 clones of Jango Fett with many more on the way to destroy starfleet the borg.

  • It sounds like you need stimulants. It's easier to cope with ADHD symptoms later in life, not because they go away, but because you learn how to accommodate them and have built your life around them. When you're 19, people still expect you to perform and compete with your peer group. If the psychiatrist doesn't want to help you with ADHD, then try a new one. Ask your parents to listen to the medical professionals. If you can get the meds, just take them religiously and grind through your work. It does get better, but not any time soon. So be brave and try to think about your direction in life when you have times of clarity and focus. They will come, they are just few and far between. Good luck! We are here if you'd like to chat.

  • Dude if writers actually made enough money then it wouldn't be such a huge thing that they get sponsored free lunches during the strike. Thats a fucking meal... However the profit produced on some shows is obscene in comparison. Put 300 mil in and get 500 mil out, thats 200 mil profit... You're getting downvoted because you don't understand the economics of the industry while being overconfident that you do.

  • This is an unpopular opinion, but I can understand why you would develop such a viewpoint. You just have to realize that some people cannot function effectively in life and a strong stimulant can be a powerful tool to regain control over a doomed situation. If there were better, safer alternatives, they would be used. But there are not, so we have this situation. It's not like these meds are prescribed by your local drug dealer. There has been a lot of research done by intelligent people.
