  • Every mod id ever played has been free.

If you've actively played Gmod in a multiplayer setting and you weren't the server admin: i doubt that. Gmod has a still thriving paid modding community, mostly for extensions for Pointshops, TTT content or other game modifiers. It maybe was free to you though ;)

  • Sounds good to me, tbh. Increasing health for everyone involved, reducing costs on medical services. I think New Zealand had something similiar? Instead of an outright ban affecting everyone this is slowly phased out, so young kids probably won't even miss it.

  • I've used Joplin before which was okay-ish (but borked the e2e encryption during an update).

Now I would recommend Silverbullet if you are really keen on self hosting a notes app.

But the notes that work best for me is simply Obsidian + Syncthing-Fork (you could self host a syncthing server), thanks to its sheer ability to adapt to nearly any use case thanks to its plugin.

  • For farmers this effectively eliminates the need for an auctioneer alt. Now instead of sending mail to your auctioneer, you can now farm and when your bags are full instantly list it on the auction house. This is especially important on early markets (lets say new patch or expansion) as the prices go down quickly. This feels very much P2W for a full price game with a subscription.

  • Yeah, i built a tiny proof of concept Metroidvania for my studies... 150 hours. At least 70 were used to build, improve and then fix the animation tree which handled all states. Really cool that I could do that with Godot. The metroidvania was 2d single player and presumably 3d multiplayer is not easier. I hope the devs are more experienced than I was, though.

Furries are people who enjoy dressing up as or creating characters based on anthropomorphic animals, which are animals that have human-like traits such as walking on two legs, talking, or wearing clothes. These characters might be foxes, wolves, cats, or any other animal but with a personality or appearance that feels human-like.

Some furries create artwork, write stories, or role-play as these characters online, while others might dress up in costumes called "fursuits" to bring their characters to life in the real world. It’s a hobby and a community that’s mostly about creativity, imagination, and expressing yourself through these animal characters.

Is this a community, is this a sexual thing?

It can be either or both. I think for the most part it is community though. For some it starts as one and then expands into the other. For me it really is a lot about self discovery & self expression, SFW & NSFW, and makes me feel more connected to the world.

Or to put it in mature comic form: https://www.ohjoysextoy.com/furry/

    Is it an American thing?

No, European here with quite some insight. I think the map in the other post is slightly misleading, as bigger countries like the US have more conventions than smaller countries is kind of obvious.

If you have more questions, feel free to ask 😊 I will do my best to offer my perspective on this.
