  • I personally like Tandoor a lot. The parsing works pretty well and every ingredient can be adjusted. And there is a pretty good mobile app with https://kitshn.app/ which is also my main shopping list, as I can create custom categories and add articles to that with tandoor.

  • A lot of "that garbage" has better game design than some western "triple AAA titles" which a lot of are also filled with micro transations.

Especially Genshin which is shown in the article has so much content and still receives updates every 6 weeks. Every 6 weeks there is 1 or 2 new characters, a new region, new story, new orchestrated music, new events and so much more.

It is absolutely just to hate microtransactions but calling every game you don't like garbage is like a child hating broccoli because a character in a TV show does. There is still incredible effort to make a somewhat good game, even in F2P Gachas or Fortnite for that matter.

  • I've made hating dishwashers my entire personality

To be fair, I really do hate my dishwasher. It is always like a 50/50 if the top rack is cleaned or the cleaning arm just fell off. Piece of junk.

  • Not really, no. These are application flaws. Caddy will happily do its job and just let bad actors abuse them. (Unless you mean mTLS certs, then Caddy would only respond to those having a client certificate, which hopefully reduces the number of bad actors to your users😉)

  • Yeah, definitely, he is an idiot. But Stonewall often doesn't even get taught in the US and i imagine much less in other countries.

I mean I grew up in Germany. And I only learnt about 'my' gay history because I was interested in it. No mention of it during my time in school.

You know, WW2 is basically everywhere in the curriculum for us, but never once was mentioned that the books they burned before that were in big parts about sexuality & gender researched in Berlin by Magnus Hirschfeld. Berlin was quite liberal (no surprise now, but historically it was monumental) in that regard, but so was Bavaria (thanks to french influence). [For our American readers: our Bavaria is similar to your Texas in mentality and association with the whole country as a whole. ] Or that when the concentration camps were 'freed' that they did not free the 'unnatural' marked by the pink triangles. And then the gay history splits between east and west and for quite some time the east is actually ahead in terms of equality. And that with the reunification some young couples unknowingly broke the law, as age of consent differed between east and west.

Hell, the only time 'the gays' were mentioned in school was during an STI workshop where prevention and healthy relationships was not part of it, but that we should still treat infected people with basic decency. That was around 2010.

  • I hope Oracle will finally send out mails to the affected customers. No idea if I am affected as Oracles login process is so convoluted that I have no desire to deal with it or understand it.

  • In Austria the 'pedophile hunters' targeted gay men who were not pedophiles. If 'pedophile hunters' would actually care about their cause, they would storm the next church...

  • Does Bambulab actually sell trans_parent_ PETG now? Last I checked it was only trans_lucent_.

Light probably does come through the translucent PETG, but as it is only translucent and not transparent you might not be able to see through.

  • I played both and found Botw boring. Huge areas were nothing was happening, but they looked nice. Except the divine beasts, they were boring as hell, gameplay wise and optical. For this they got rid of cool dungeons? The challenge shrines repeated often and were not really interesting at all. And the weapons broke permanently. After a short while I simply rushed through this game. I can see the love poured into this game but the gameplay was just soon boring to me.

Then came Totk. I was sceptical at first, but then came the building of stuff. Suddenly it was okay when weapons broke, because you could try other interesting things with them. Dungeons were back. The challenge shrine were mostly puzzles for the build mechanic. The whole freaking world was filled with build puzzles where I could get lost in shenanigans. So they basically addressed most issues I had with the first game and as a result I liked it more.

Storywise I would place them both in the category "about okay".
