  • I have this problem or it will play for like 3 seconds and then buffer for a bit, play 3 seconds, buffer, repeat for infinity. No matter what I do I have one of these issues with Firefox and any adblocker and it's super annoying.

  • I haven't seen a moat in at least the last 100 years

This is a you problem pal. I personally have a moat defense system installed around my home and also around each individual room within the home with draw bridges for isolation in case of emergency. Safety is just common sense.

  • No no you don't understand. Since Scar Jo played a female voice that behaved nicely and made jokes in a movie she now owns the rights to any female (or feminine male voice) that either: makes a joke, says something witty, answers a question, or makes a statement. This is a slam dunk case for Scar Jo. I will also be sued for writing this as she also wrote an email in a movie once that had words in the forms of sentences just like this post so I'm screwed.

  • What if isn't inflation but they're hiding behind that narrative as a reason to keep raising prices. Not saying that's 100% what happens but we got a whole lot of companies out there claiming there's nothing they can do about the price hikes while also reporting record profits (after adjusting for inflation). The maths ain't mathing.

  • i often wonder how many of them were just faking for the sake of the voters. I mean 100% a lot of them embellish it, anyone who actually thinks trump is that religious is either dumb or just in complete denial. If you could line all of them up with some truth serum and ask, i'd be really curious what you'd find. I wouldn't be surprised if we had an atheist president at some point.

  • Hard disagree. Separation of church and state is right there. RIGHT THERE. in the constitution (I don't mean literally of course, but you can FEEL it in there). And if you don't believe me just ask any of the 46 consecutively Christian presidents we've had and they'll tell you the same. The fact that 100% of them are Christian is clearly a coincidence (with #47 baking in the oven). I could easily flip a coin 46 times and have it land heads up every time.

  • I mean I'd argue there's some serious room to help out the consumer since the price of cars has been outpacing inflation pretty handily since around 2014 (and been beating it into a bloody pulp since 2020). There is some insanely obvious price gouging going on when the average price of a new car in 2024 is over 49k. There is room for BOTH higher wages and at least semi reasonable car prices for the American consumer. In my eyes if you clearly aren't willing to help me as an everyday clearly struggling American today, then goooo right ahead and kiss my ass as I buy foreign if it's cheaper.

  • It's like catching a little kid in a lie and they just keep on making up more and more hilarious crap to cover the initial lie. Each lie builds on itself requiring a bigger, more ridiculous lie to cover it up and before you know it, you went from who ate the missing yogurt to now the sky is a glass dome, the sun is a giant flashlight that the government turns on and off and the moon only glows because of magical glow worms that live on its surface

  • This polarizing aspect of the whole thing has really confused me for this very reason as well as a few others. I think about it a lot like flat earth. In both cases the opponents or "deniers" for lack of a better term point largely to this like conglomerate corpo science-y entity that has a rooted financial interest in spreading these lies all for monetary gain. This idea that "big science" genuinely wants people to believe in a fake scenario of the earth's clomate getting fucked by humans is so strange. And this works politically too.

Like I don't have any research to back this up but I'd bet my left ass cheek that the large majority of climate scientists AS WELL as climate progressive politicians would absolutely love there to be completely no issue with climate change. Given the choice, not having to worry at all about that for the present and future would just be a big load off every one's plate. Now I'm sure there are some people that have a lot of their eggs in the renewable, green energy basket and could stand to gain prosperity from society moving in a green energy direction. There's no doubt. But something tells me that they are more or less cancelled out by the amount of people who are already profiting or stand to profit more from petroleum based energy means.

I just don't get the whole realistic motive behind scientists and politicians pushing an agenda that they know to be false. Do people really think scientists don't have anything better to do than just make stuff up? Genuinely? And it's not like just a few of them. We're talking well over 90% are pushing this fake agenda. That is complete and utter market saturation lol. I just can't fathom how that would work. Just like the flat earth thing, what is there to gain from this for the large majority of these people? Like why?

  • I've lived around and have donated to blood banks in every city I've lived in pretty much. The amount of calls I get asking for me to donate is absolutely insane. They don't stop no matter what I do. I'm getting calls from places in states I haven't lived in for like a decade.

I'm pretty sure if I ever went missing or got kidnapped at this point, the blood banks would track me down and beg me to donate way before my family or the police.

  • This is NOT corruption and Mr. Trump did NOT BRIBE the judge as you are suggesting. The judge is honorable and just and made the announcement out of his own good graces. He even pushed back a flight on his new private jet for a trip he had planned for the christening of his new yacht JUST TO MAKE THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. You people are all just jealous and desperately looking to find some dirt where there clearly isn't. SAD!

  • The way I'm reading it (and I could absolutely be wrong here) but it sounds like he might be saying he has the money now thru hard work and tan lotion or whatever the hell. Not that he always had it. That would still cause problems but not nearly as much as if he is saying he always had it. Cause then he basically lied in court under oath which is obviously a no no.

But if he's saying he like hit the ground and made some shrewd genius business moves to raise the money quickly or something I don't think that would cause a ton of problems. And I could easily see some moron rich people getting together and just giving him the money or something
