Almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

It really is clutch. I've taken to propping a pillow on my lap and using the kick stand to support it upright while playing. It's really handy.

I suspect the comment where you were banned was the proverbial "straw that broke the camels back." I took a look at the rest of the thread where there could be the impression of you attacking people. It's not as extreme as the specific comment they chose but it's there. Perhaps the mods banned you for 3 days for a combination of your posts in that thread. That would make sense instead of commenting on each individually (which would be time consuming).

Have you tried to message the mods directly for clarity before posting here?

I ended up buying the Killswitch case from Dbrand. It's sturdy, the lip of the case rises up to cover the screen edges and it has a hard face cover while traveling. I normally leave it with its kickstand on various locations to charge for when I need it. It was an added weight but I don't notice it anymore, and I enjoy the textured feel of the case.

I don't know if this is my imagination, but things are now loading way faster on the Lemmy Sync app since you completed the upgrade. Originally I had to really 20 seconds when opening the app for content to load and now it's instant. Thank you very much!

Having used both, Sync is better. Liftoff felt light years behind Sync. I will also note as a purely anecdotal, I saw more duplicates on Liftoff than I do now on Sync... I still see a lot of duplicates but not nearly as much as before... Grabbed, I was using Liftoff when the Reddit migration was occurring so that could be the reason I dare more duplication with it.

I find I'm involved in a combination of doom scrolling and reading through my digital books. They're not academic in nature but they bring me joy... I also leverage my device for googling the answer to any one of the thousand questions my offspring will ask daily.

I don't know if the Internet has made folks dumber per se. What we may be experiencing is the visibility of semi anonymous unfiltered thought. I've had conversations with individuals online who have made claims that are egregiously incorrect and will defend those claims to the death but when discussed in person, they are amenable to discourse and can change their opinions.

I'm not saying this is true for all cases but I think the is a lot more going on here in our digital age.

I've been using Liftoff on Android. It's way better than mobile browsing but no where near the same level as Sync. Biggest pain points are searching and subscribing to new instances as well as an insane amount of cache builds up and never clears on its own.

Currently I can't load my subscribed instances but I think that's a temporary bug...

I am eagerly and patiently awaiting Sync for Lemmy release.

A few months ago I was having issues using Remote Play over WiFi to my Steam Deck.

These are the steps I took to troubleshoot the issue and overall I ended up with a much superior Steam Link experience as well.

My Steam Link is hard wired but my computer is wireless. I recommend trying to adjust some of the settings I listed in my Steam post.
