As a developer I cherish Q/A and dread anytime they would start typing something into Teams.

Yeah, by social engineering. You would probably be better at that than myself though since you can get a girlfriend.

I'm a web developer. People assume the following:

1. I'm an expert with operating systems.
2. I'm good with math.
3. I eat junk food and drink energy drinks/soda.
4. I'm a proponent and consumer of all new technologies.
5. I like (insert) TV, Movie, or Anime.

I wished I learned either to play the guitar or focused on learning Spanish outside a classroom.

Dinosaur Apocalypse.

Take the premise of a zombie apocalypse but it's hoard after hoard of dinosaurs spilling out of hollow earth (no Nazis just dinosaurs). No explanation just more dinosaurs. There are more dinosaurs than humans have bullets.

The plot is shown in vignette style by people across the world.

Around December my doctor told me my cholesterol and blood pressure was dangerously high. I have cut out about 95% of animal products out of my diet. I'm down to basically non fat greek yogurt. I refer to myself as an involuntary vegan.

I can't stress enough how much this isn't about will power but exploiting my depression for health benefits. It's easy to get rid of things if all it does is make me happy.

Edit: Same philosophy applied to quitting cigarettes by going cold turkey a decade ago.

Lucky for me I can't play guitar either. The only passion I got is Aztec history and I'm not qualified to teach anyone.

What technologies did you work with?

I'm actually aiming for AWS certs so hopefully my stack will be applicable.

I was putting in about a dozen per day on LinkedIn and was getting nowhere. Then after a few weeks there weren't a dozen places left to apply at. So now I do that about twice a week and look up posts created in a week's time.

My main skills over the last 10 years have been HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and the React framework. I just got done cramming Python so I can learn Flask.

Dice and Indeed have traditionally only gotten me third party recruiters and that never ends well or is profitable.

I don't have any other options that don't involve unskilled labor. I'm also not a young man anymore.

Web Development and UI/UX Design. In practice a React Developer that used Figma for planning. Basically I would draw the site, then build all the visual elements, implement all the behaviors, and then hook it up to a backend built by someone else. I'm cramming Udemy courses to become a Full Stack Web Developer.

I'm going to become homeless before I get an interview. I have ten years experience. I'm trying to keep my head held high and do self training. Even posting my Udemy certs on LinkedIn (I know they're worth less than toilet paper).

No one cares.

As a vegetarian I find this comic offensive. The last panel should be that dude viscously ripping apart the vegetable people with his teeth.

Just because I don't eat animals doesn't mean I won't body slam you if you're between me and a potato.

I wonder if their c-suite considered that maybe financially backing Trump while he campaigned on issues that would make large swaths of the population lose their job was the smartest of ideas.

Trump took my job so I can't spend money at Amazon even if I wanted to.
