Spineless wording by the Guardian. ICE AGENTS THEMSELVES have stated plainly that these kids are bait. It's not hidden, it's not subtext, it's just text, right there.
I was about to say, manufacturing nuclear arms is not cheap, but it's also not incredibly profitable. Unlike even something like a fighter aircraft, you can't really sell them off, and you can't make most of ANYTHING ELSE with the tooling and setup.
More specifically, there's now a generation of people who didn't get their ass beat for using their left hand (this was surprisingly common up through the fucking 90s in some places) and now they want leisure goods that are left-hand-capable.
Yeah, this really sounds like premeditation to me. Kill their dog and present the head and collar to lure them outside, then shoot both men dead. If it's not clear premeditation I don't know what is.
And now we get to see whether the Gay Panic defense works this time, I'm sure.
And powerful friends in high places. There's evidence that the State Department leaned on Romania to allow them out of prison to "visit their dying mother" in the US - which apparently includes nightclubs and at least one sexual assault allegation.
Nah, he's not that kind of dictator. He doesn't need to feel like he's in the military - he needs to feel like he's above them, on top of them as it were. The big military parade isn't for him to feel like a general - it's so he can copy his authoritarian friends without actually having the military cred himself to back it up. It's cargo cult dictatorship.
Genuinely serious. Jackson is Trump's favorite President for a reason: he exposed that under a determined enough man with enough popular support behind him, neither Congress nor the SCOTUS can actually do anything about a President acting in contravention of a court order. If the SCOTUS says "this bill is unconstitutional", will it stop anyone from actually acting like it's in force?
You would be incorrect. Many wealthier high schools put a ton of money into their sports facilities and equipment. Several HS in my state operate 10-thousand-plus-seating stadiums that look a lot like collegiate or semiprofessional facilities.
It's sort of Francoist: "I'll kill half the country to satisfy my own ego".
