They don't plan on having a "next" election. And those businesses will have their workers clearly supplied to them on contract from the federal labor camps they're already working to build.

They're already planning to have massive ICE camps here in the US, they just cut a $45bn contract for tons more, contracting with private prisons, camping manufacturers, and more. We're bringing back slave labor - if they're detained, LEGALLY they can be used for labor without pay, at gunpoint.

Precisely this. He didn't want a happy birthday parade, he wanted an "all this equipment can be used to kill you, no matter who or where" parade. He truly believes that all the military can and should be good for is death and misery and harming the people he thinks need to hurt. In his brain, they're his personal faceless, nameless drones to inflict violence. He's been using ICE for this, but ICE doesn't make him look like his cool dictator friends in the way that rolling a column of Abrams down Mulholland Drive would.

It really is how the dotcomites and techbros see the world. They built everything for a song (and having the luck to be born with access to the materials to build their empires), so obviously the entire world that's NOT a corporate entity should be handed to them for free.

From having heard stories from people in the area, it is worse than just guards. Guys in speedboats in full tactical gear, cameras and sonar sensors and all sorts of shit that can tell how close you are, where you are, from a mile out from the shore, and dispatch people there in minutes. It is legitimately a cyberpunk gated community.

You're missing the point. The admin has full control over spectrum licensing. This means Trump could easily have the FCC just revoke all other spectrum licenses for cellphone comms, and just forcibly seize those towers. Don't look at it like it's going to operate like a corporation, because I promise you it won't.

See, here's the thing when you're the President. You can just have your FCC chair shut them down. You can actively quash literally any boundaries to being a monopoly, and nobody can do anything about it (from a legal or regulatory standpoint).

I think it's a case of psychopathy and the fact that some of these people TRULY don't see black and brown people as people. The dehumanization is truly complete to the point that they really don't understand that they're PEOPLE, with thoughts and feelings.

We absolutely have the ability to kill half the population if you're not too picky about targeting and happy to rule through the idea of death from above rather than soldiers on the street in Mayberry. This also doesn't account for police complicity, and the fact that there's an alarming amount of right wingers who seem rather elated by the idea of potentially killing their liberal/leftists relatives, coworkers, classmates and neighbors.

Sending war journos would definitely send a message.
