Some Walmart employees say customers are getting hostile at self-checkout — and they blame anti-theft tech

  • One time I went to wal-mart and at self-checkout there was a security guy (with a bulletproof vest...) with the employee. I don't know if he was there to look intimidating to potential thieves or to protect the employee from violent customers, but I did not like the feeling of him watching me scanning my items. Am I a customer or a potential profit-loss theft for wal-mart? I fucking hate that company...

  • A lot of products I buy shrinked in size since the beginning of the year. Kirkland toilet paper for instance has less sheets per roll (from 425 to 380)... so I'm not sure they have nothing to apologize for..

  • Still using my 6 yo Pixel 2 XL with a custom rom. Not planning to change and I easily see how I can get to 10 years. For instance, the repairability allowed me to change a cracked screen, as it would be possible with the Fairphone.

    Downscale your needs and you can easily do 10 years in my opinion!
