  • There is also a question of Dr Doom, where is he? Since a lot of the Fantastic Four trailer seems to be about them already being saviors of the world, maybe Dr. Doom is on the ship we saw in the post-credits, and The Fantastic Four will show up later in a different ship.

  • I think I've seen this before and I know the solution. Time to use the "Bugs Bunny Maneuver".

    Impeach Trump.

    Impeach Democrats.

    Impeach Trump.

    Impeach Democrats.

    Impeach Democrats.

    Impeach Trump.

    Gottem.

  • It also doesn't make sense. To make Trump angry all you need to do is tell the truth. Just state facts and he'll be tweeting up shitstorm at 3am.

  • They should have had the guinea pig in the New Avengers tower during the post-credits. Cleaning the cage could have been one of Bob's duties.

  • FYI Spoilers for "Thunderbolts*" in the subtitle/opening question of this article. The article has a spoiler warning, but AFTER they've already spoiled it.

  • Note: this article has spoilers, but isn't full of spoilers. If you're on the fence and don't mind spoilers, you might find this review helpful. Although, having seen the film, I don't think it's the most accurate review.

  • While waiting for the post credits scene I noticed the "Fantastic Four Main Theme" during the music section. So the credits spoiled the post credits.

But, does that mean Fantastic Four is going to end with the Fantastic Four universe collapsing and our heroes escaping? I sort of assumed that would be the case, but weird to see another film confirm it.

  • I agree. I actually did think it was a little rushed at times, but overall no big issues. Great movie.

  • AI as auto complete is exactly what I was thinking.

I've seen lots of cases where AI appears as an auto complete suggestion and I can just hit

    <TAB>

and it finishes the current line. It's essentially filling in the boilerplate text. Heck in some cases it isn't even right, but it's close enough that I can change a few values.

I also want to point out that this isn't particularly new technology. This existed before AI. It has perhaps expanded more, but it isn't a revolutionary improvement, it's an incremental one. So when we talk about usefulness, I think it is actually more useful.

Now if it could do all the magic planning and thinking, that would be more useful, but we're not there yet.

  • I wonder if having a robots.txt file that said to ignore the file/path would help.

I'm assuming a bad bot would ignore the robots.txt file. So you could argue that you put up a clear sign and they chose to ignore it.

  • Ah, so this is what MC meant. I've enjoyed my time here.

  • So when you're frozen you don't age. So when Fry goes into the freezer doodle at 25, he also exits at age 25.

For example when Fry, Farnsworth & Bender time travel and loop back around, we wouldn't give them a negative age. If they spend a year time traveling, we would add a year to their age.

So I think we need to consider the oldest as someone with the most years doing something. However since time travel is involved it's time spend doing things that they then remember.

So Bender, ignoring for a moment he is a robot, being stuck in Roswell would make him quite old since he remembers it all.

Now let's talk about Fry specifically. In the season 7 finale, "Meanwhile" Fry plays with the time button, gaining new knowledge every time he pushes the button. Eventually Fry jumps off a building, resetting time once he sees Leela. Fry falls for a long time, but we don't know how long he falls. Time stops, Fry & Leela live a life, but Farnsworth resets time back to when time first stopped. BUT that means Fry still remembers jumping off the building and ALL the times he pushed the button. As a quick throwaway joke when we resume season 8 we learn 10 years have passed. That means Fry remembers pushing the button to reset time FOR 10 YEARS.

So while Fry may not be the oldest, he is at least 10 years older in terms of memory, which I think is interesting to think about.

  • Knoppix. I didn't see it listed yet so I had to chime in.

I saw it and was confused that computers could run something that wasn't Windows and wasn't Mac. Then I was handed a Knoppix LiveCD and suddenly MY computer was Linux. Absolutely blew my mind.

I then explored Mandrake (now Mandrivia?) for a while but it never really stuck.

A few years later Ubuntu was handing out LivdCDs to everyone running Warty Warthog and soon after window managers started to use Beryl (?) which let you have a fancy cube desktop. Absolutely pointless but that's how it all started.

What headphones do you use on your Switch? Or on an airplane? Or a regional bus?

How is the experience switching from your phone, to your laptop, to your tablet, to your Steam Deck?

  • TLDR Yelena & Bob are the standouts, which is good to hear.

  • I think that's a pretty great summary. When it comes to unnecessary/years later sequels most are just garbage. I think Matrix 4 is still bad, but I have to give it credit for trying something interesting. It doesn't work ultimately, but it tried something.

  • Pike. The old one.

    It's the chair.

  • I mean VP in recent history is there to balance the ticket. If the presidential candidate is weak in one area, they pick a VP strong in that area. Sometimes the VP is just to lock in a competitive state.

The winner picks the VP. If number 2 works well, great, but the winner picks.
