weird, it isn't for me. it is about AMDs equivalent of nVidias CUDA. AMD is trying to catch up in the area that they have unfortunately neglected for a very long time and in which nVidia has an (almost) unassailable lead. That means making things like machine learning / AI on their GPUs possible, or more easily and on more cards (especially more consumer cards) available.
My bad. I was sure i read somewhere they are hosted in germany. guess i was wrong. Still, hosting or linking to illegal stuff inside the EU is probably still a very bad idea. apart from it violating the ToS of the hoster (Hetzner).
Lemmy.world is hosted on a german Server and afaik run by german people. Hosting or even just linking to anything piracy related in germany would be suicide.
okay, yes, i dig it. especially the much better arranged comment trees. and the content on the right side is actually a quite nice idea. after hiding the sidebar you can basically scroll and consume in a endless loop. This may or may not be something good..
as far i can tell it has none of the RiF features. it has no prev/next and parent buttons. it has some weird design decisions like hiding a comment thread on tap, etc.
it does not scratch this specific itch. connect does.
Connect is the only app that is very close to RiF. it has the wonderful next/back buttons and the layout can be configured very similar to RiF. i love it!
