Yeah my bad, I thought postpartum psychosis was part of the DSM-5. I said "mental illness" thinking PPP was included. Was confused why all the downvotes til I looked it up lol

Yeah that's the other thing. We know what OP is saying, but what was Bob's understanding of the intent? That's context that would help figure out if Bob's upset because he feels used or if he's moreso embarrassed by how the email went down.

I don't think it's wrong necessarily, it just depends on the vibes of the email. Also Bob's relation to Alice may have intricacies you aren't aware of. How friendly is he with her, and what exactly did he say to her? Apparently Bob thought you went overboard with the questioning. I wouldn't dwell too much on it, but just saying personal relations can be tricky.

Me I prefer to do things more informally. For example, I could let Bob talk to Alice and get back to me himself. Of course that's inconveniencing Bob and I'd super owe him one. Or if Bob gave me Alice's contact info (after he told her what was going on and she consented), I'd just reach out to her on my own. Send a text or something. Also idk about your line of work, but some people are weird about emails lol. Some wanna do things through email, some by text/phone.

When you go to add an account, does it show a screen like this? Maybe instead of "pick server," tap "log in" since you already have an account.

Have you tried logging in on desktop Lemmy and finding the delete option? I started a community way back and remember deleting it that way.

Plus, a lot of people browse the "All" feed and may subscribe when they see an interest.

Ditto. Wouldn't be this big culture shock. You could just drive there, don't gotta mess with flying. If you can get to Mexico, you can fly out anywhere else if you'd like. And like a lot of people, we already know basic Spanish from school. Wouldn't be hard to pick up the rest. xD

My partner and I are already brainstorming what countries we would go to if in the future shit really hits the fan. I mean just as a hypothetical. Mexico's up there. We could easily pick up and go, trouble is it'd be harder to get the rest of our family on board.

Me too. On Voyager you can add personal tags for people. It also displays how often you're upvoting or downvoting each user account. Very helpful for keeping track of who's who!

I like working in triage for this reason. Lots of autonomy, sure it gets busy but there's also days with lots of downtime, plus you get to shoot the shit with doctors and pick their brain.
