  • So I had never tried duckduckgo until just now and it seems they recently added ai summaries, too, lol. Dang it. I'll try start page in a sec

Edit: start page seems good. They do have blurbs but they're from Wikipedia and don't seem to be ai related

  • This was also my complaint. I felt like it was missing the cooperative aspect of an MMO that I wanted. I think FFXI is closer to what I want, but it's understandably older and less accessible for a lot of people. I'm still debating when/if i wana take the plunge and just play that for a while.

I've spent about 60 hours replaying the intro quests in XIV trying to get into it lol

  • That was the ONE trailer from this Xbox announcement that I was actually looking forward to. It looked in a fairly playable state, too. I feel like a very broken record, but this is yet another reason why it feels like Microsoft is pulling out of gaming.

  • It's funny because companies are using AI for job listing's and are simultaneously getting swamped by hundreds or thousands of applications due to AI as well. AI is completely messing up the job application process. Not like the process was any better prior to AI but now it's an even bigger mess

  • If I had to take a wild guess, it's higher-ups sacking employees to get a quick payday.

Microsoft keeps buying up dev teams, promising games, and then prevents games from releasing. I have been questioning their desire to make future consoles, to be honest. It seems like they're trying to focus on gamepass and maneuvering out of the console market. Especially with their new handheld being made by a different company.

  • The idea is that people in western industrialised countries (these days known by the acronym “weird” – for western, educated, industrialised, rich and democratic – a summary that is increasingly questionable)

I added the bold above. Gave me a chuckle

  • In addition, being severely stressed can't be good for one's memory. I didn't get covid until 2023, but my memory and overall function was awful up until 2024 ish when covid kind of calmed down more in my area.

The past 5 years have honestly just been a black hole. I know I did stuff during all that time, but I was checked out.

  • I feel like Microsoft has been extremely dodgy when it comes to the future of the Xbox. I bet they'll just hire more people to fill the gap. It always seems to be "look we're trimming the fat!" And then "look we're expanding". Anything to boost the stock

  • They need to be in uniform then. If they don't want ICE to be assaulted, then they need to have their faces shown, be in uniform, and conduct themselves in an orderly fashion.

If somebody rolls up in unmarked cars with facemasks on, I would assume they're abducting someone.

  • I have a coworker with this illness! She got it from a tick when she was about 10 and it's never gone away. She has to be careful because she's super sensitive to the point where if something is even cooked in beef fat she will get super ill. It sounds horrible.

  • I find it odd that they are doing this slowly. Is there a reason for it? I was thinking that it's a distraction. Keep doing it slowly, and you can use the victims as a scapegoat. That or they're just sadistic?

The reason I was thinking as a scapegoat is because they now went after Iran. But maybe I just don't know enough about the subject

Edit: I suppose also it's probably easier to mask as "justified" when they kill at random, VS a one and done destruction of the entire region. It bothers me that Western countries are supplying Israel with military aid, though. I don't want my tax dollars being wasted. never mind going to genocide. It's awful.
