One great benefit of the stop killing games initiative is the spotlight being put onto EULA's. we all knew this is the wild shit EULA's tried to dictate for years now, but now we have media actually reporting on it. even if SKG goes nowhere, at least we've had a revival of this massive consumer issue.

Now this is the type of posting I come here for.

War is the enemy of humanity and I'm going to be existentially disillusioned if I witness the start of another global conflict.

I find myself on Quora more than I would think based off its layout. I think the website is very messy and sometimes makes the information hard to parse. But I do agree in general that I think it has a bad reputation for what it is.

It's a mix bag game, each inspiration nicher than the last. It's a survival crafter set entirely indoors, it's part half life and part SCP, and it's genuinely really hard. Hidden gem for sure, I would say.

Playing Abiotic Factor on my own for awhile. This is a great take on the survival crafter genre. Huge recommendation for anyone who has that itch.

With my mates, we're tackling void crew. Anyone else been playing this? It's a team based ship combat game with rouge elements. Reminds me of FTL, but in first person.

I mean, the Adobe website flashed me pop-ups about not being in the right location, about cookies - I would choose GIMP based on this.

I choose FOSS 90% of the time because they are not beholden to the same conventions that compel most for-profit products. A lot of the concerns I'm reading about readability, marketability, etc ring absolutely true for life-or-death for-profit ventures, but there are definitely people who don't mind missing all of that stuff in exchange for good and decent software.

The goal, after all, is to be image editing software, not an advertisement.
