im doing my part by wearing visibly old and 'ratty' clothes. as long as its in one peice, it has a place. and if something somehow reaches the end of its genuine useful life, it goes into my rag bin for use as a rag (and here ive only thrown out a few rags that have exceeded their uses)
its pretty disheartening to see comments like this. what exactly do they propose to do in the 20 odd years it will take to get reactor 1 online, given their favourite source coal will be progressively shut down regardless? no matter what your opinion on 'base load' power is, its clear renewables have at the very least a vital role in filling the gaps if not more
I agree we need to try, in my experience there's not a lot of fence sitters on this topic. people have made it about their "tribe" again and are happy to believe obvious lies because YES won't change their lives directly so they don't care
