My concern is about the battery life of these second-hand devices than anything else, some secondhand phones nowadays are basically unusable if the battery has so much wear and tear that it only lasts 2-3 hours of use.
Specific market segments we are targeting include retail and hospitality, as well as the digital signage appliances for these industries.
It doesn't look like they are going to release it for general consumers at all, I think they specifically designed it to meet a very niche need to control apps for interactive menus and billboards on various commercial displays without having these apps being controlled by a tablet in the backend.
I've always disliked the current state of social media, because it always felt like everyone is shouting at each other rather than talking to each other. That's why I like having penpals to writing letters back and forth and shoot the shit on whatever, and I've blamed Facebook and Twitter for killing that.
I lurked reddit anonymously but I don't comment much, because it felt like the only place that you can discuss various topics with random people and learn cool things. But part of it is that slowly, it made me miserable, the hivemind with all the arguing and smugness and unfunny one-liners and most of all, the cynicism.
This place is a bit different I think, I really didn't expect to get as involved as I am, but it kind of brought back that feeling of writing back and forth to random people and having a conversation again.
I've made it a goal to read and write more and talk to more people when I have the time to spare right now.
I'm lazy, so whenever I need to start eating healthy, I get bags of carrot sticks and munch on those during the day, but that gets boring after a while.

Mentally, I still feel like I am the same person as back when I was a teenager, until I actually meet some real teenagers and thought "oh, they are a bunch of children.", and then "wait, was I actually as immature as them when I was a teen? That's not the way I remembered it."
