In Mexico it's called Montezuma's Revenge. In Bali it's called Bali Belly. What other colloquialisms for gastroenteritis are there around the world?

  • Huh, I'd never heard of this meaning to Montezuma's Revenge. I was only familiar with the old video game.

  • If your doctor and/or physical therapist don't have any recommendations, look for a running shoe store in your area. They can frequently help steer you to shoes that'll feel so much better. If you don't have one and still are looking for advice from random Internet people:

    • Nurses tend to like Hoka and Dansko.
    • For the severe tendonitis in my foot, I found Brooks to be really comfortable.
    • I also have some Chelsea boots from Lems Shoes. They're wider the regular shoes, but don't have much support. I replaced the insert with an orthotic recommended by my podiatrist and it works pretty well.

    • Air Canada changed my flight for the 3rd time, I'm now landing in Toronto 1 hour AFTER my next flight departure.

  • No fiber available to my house, so I'm stuck with paying ~$85 for 50/2. Or switching ISPs and briefly getting a chair rate for faster speeds, but adding in a data cap and less reliability.
