  • Years ago my mom cross stitched me a bookmark that reads "A good book is a good friend." That's what I use.

  • I know it's fun to rag our boomer parents and grandparents but it was boomers who designed the older, "complex" UI for usage by other boomers. Since boomers are now dropping out of the workforce (25% of it right now) it seems likely that the UI is being dumbed down for the much larger Gen-X/Millennial/Gen Z workforce.

  • I think the country will gain some relief once he passes. Political Trumpism will be with us for a long time but I'm not sure there's anyone who will be able to replace his cult leader personality that fires these people up.

  • I find Linus to be an odd mix of earnest and smarmy.

  • [Raises hand] I've been paying for a family music plan for years now. YouTube Premium was always just bundled with it. If they ever stopped the bundling I'd hop back over to Spotify.

  • I have only one son and I sometimes find myself calling him by the dog's name. 🙁

  • I work from home and am very happy to get out of the house to pick up food.

  • I sometimes carry cash. I'll say one thing, paying with cash makes it easier to avoid the tipping creep problem we're seeing at U.S. businesses that have traditionally not had tipping.

  • Chris Christie appears to be running on a platform of wanting to debate Trump. There's no doubt that he would annihilate Trump in a debate given the chance.

  • Is it cheaper than just adding a little programmable clock onto the coop doors? I would assume you're not going to change the timing much anyway since chickens thrive on routine.

  • Wuss-teh-sher

  • You would both say you're concerned about future people dying unnecessarily.

  • I have family who openly admit they're single issue voters. Nothing but abortion matters. Any other Republican policy they happen to agree with is just a bonus. I guarantee they would switch to voting Dem if magically the two parties switched sides on abortion.

  • My company used Google for a few years. Higher level Excel users hated Sheets and didn't give up Excel. But for the rest of us riffraff Sheets was great. The collaboration features work really well, better than Office 360.

  • At least three of these diseases have no vaccine although I've read they're developing one for malaria.

  • New geriatric morons are created daily.

  • Robert Hanssen made $1.4 million over the course of his spy career. Which sounds like a lot but it was over 20 years and he did a ton of damage to the US intelligence community during the cold war. Was the $1.4 million worth spending another 20 years in solitary at ADX Florence?
