  • BK in Russia? Smh I thought biological warfare was illegal.

  • I've used Mint Cinnamon as recently as a few months ago for a machine with a 3060Ti. The experience was great. Pop!_OS also touts native NVIDIA support, as others have mentioned, but I have less experience with it.

  • Haha, thanks for the advice. I'm going to be installing a bidet asap, so hopefully a lack of TP is never too much of an issue.

  • This probably isn't the case in all places, but basically all of the libraries in my area have a fax machine that you can use. A godsend when your only choice is either a fax or a web submission that may or may not work properly.

  • I'm moving into a studio this coming weekend. I'm mostly excited to have my own space, own kitchen, own bathroom, own internet, etc. But, I'm also nervous since this will be my first time living alone. 🥹

  • Not sure it counts, but I played a loooot of Killing Floor in my early teens.

  • Traditional for scroll wheels, natural for track pads.

  • @sculd asked the same question further down and got a couple of good responses.

  • Same. Looks like you and I both will be getting unlimited searches now. :D

  • This is super exciting! As mundane as it sounds, I'm especially hyped for the pointer optimizations. No more laggy cursor on my older machines. :)

  • A lot of the actual coding/scripting work that I've done recently has been server stuff. I recently containerized all of my game servers with Docker and bash, and I'm now looking at switching from my current janky Minecraft Docker setup to a fancier setup with autoupdates for Paper and its plugins. I'm far from a professional programmer, so it's been fun to actually hack together useful things for myself.

  • I update all of my flatpaks, snaps, and dnfs(?) with the click of a button in GNOME Software.

Edit: apparently I stopped using snaps at some point. Still, GNOME Software does both my flatpaks and my regular stuff.

  • Pretty fine. Finally beat BG3. Already planning my next run. ;)

  • Happy late birthday! :D

  • Basically what Silva said. When I'm going out of my way to install something, kitty. Else I roll with my DE's default, which in my case is usually gnome-terminal.

  • Very cool, looking forward to getting it on my desktop in October. :)

  • For Firefox I'm moreso concerned about performance issues that I've run into with certain sites, as well as apprehension surrounding Mozilla (though Google is DEFINITELY not any better). Extension syncing (and general setting syncing, for that matter) mostly comes into play when I try to use something like LibreWolf or Ungoogled Chromium. I love the latter, but it's painful to have to manually sync my extension changes across devices. At least I can do bookmarks with xBrowserSync, but I'm SoL for everything else. 😭

  • Google Chrome because I'm hooked on extension syncing and have had poor experiences with Firefox. I'll reevaluate once Manifest v2 is sunsetted.
