It feels awfully political when I know my job is supporting a company that donates heavily to causes and people I despise. Fortunately, I'm not in that position currently (but I have been), but I'm looking hard for jobs and one of the companies I applied at asked if I've ever previously been employed by Koch or its affiliates and I have to say it's a hard fucking choice between putting food on my family's table vs. supporting fucking Koch. Not that most of them don't donate to bad people but those fucking guys?
This feels more like an integration test than a unit test to me. Maybe that's not an important distinction to make, but it feels like it would also help communicate intent.
I mean that's fine. We don't even go to the parks most of the time. They have some really nice properties elsewhere. Hilton head was nice, for example, but of course it's just a nice hotel at that point.
Say all the things about them being an evil, soulless company, and I'll agree but they have great customer service which is important to us when we're risking a chuck of change hoping for a good vacation experience.
Vacationing has been different since getting older. I do miss some of the more adventurous travels when I was in my thirties, but these days consistency and customer service are really nice.
Disney vacation club hasn't been bad, tbh, but the industry as a whole is super sketchy. Also we haven't tried to get out of it, but mainly because it's been fine.
Sure but also us older folks over 20 are allowed to buy alcohol and that always flashes the light. And sometimes they have to randomly check a thing you've scanned to make sure you aren't scamming. And sometimes it double scans and, while you can remove the item, they still need to input their ID - they trust you to scan everything, but not to unscan it.
Like, sure, there are people who struggle, but I'm not sure the customer service light flashing is indicative of the issue.
Having used it a couple of times... I'm not seeing it. It's the same ChatGPT that talks about everything like it's a lecture. I haven't tried to jailbreak it into hot girlfriend AI or anything, but it seems like that would feel a lot more awkward in voice chat than text.
Cheating the vote obviously has legs, but whining that it's unfair he has to run against someone he doesn't want to isn't going to hit the same. He is really losing his edge and getting slow-witted, and it really looks to me like maga is running out of gas, and I don't think there is anyone out there who can replace Trump to pour fuel on the fire.
may be too structurally deficient to stand up a ground game in swing states.
That's not the current Trump campaign. Several state parties particularly in swing states have been terribly disorganized and lacking in funds because it turns out the maga loyalty doesn't make someone a great political operative. The whole Republican operation is mismanaged and looted since 2020 and accelerating after 2022.
Trump and his advisers are to blame for that, but it's a much larger issue than this campaign. Michigan I know is as absolute fucking mess for Republicans and you can see it in the polling for Michigan vs other swing states.
expected to cast the Harris campaign as the most progressive ticket
This doesn't feel like it will be successful when Bernie Sanders is still around. "Progressive" just doesn't have that same fearmongering vibe that communist and socialist does, and it's really hard to pin socialism on her when she's clearly not the furthest left populist Democrat.
The output for a given input cannot be independently calculated as far as I know, particularly when random seeds are part of the input. How is that deterministic?
The so what means trying to prevent certain outputs based on moral judgements isn't possible. It wouldn't really be possible if you could get in there with code and change things unless you could write code for morality, but it's doubly impossible given you can't.
I still see your post on !boobs@lemmynsfw.com
