  • Bookwyrm is nice, you can import your Goodreads history too

    But it really needs apps

  • Submissions is a shit thing to paywall imo

  • Worth noting the app is not affiliated with the reddit app, it's forked by someone else.

  • Lemmy is still in that early link aggregator stage, Reddit was like this too for awhile.

as the saying goes, be the change you wish to see...

  • Yep, using "Top" or "Hot" comment sorting (your default can be changed in the settings) results in comment orders being all borked. Just sort by New for now.

  • what blocker do you use? that's what I see with nextdns

  • Discord is a closed garden, it's awful for things like this.

  • This can be deceiving for link aggregator apps, because it'll also pick up trackers that other sites are using, and not the app itself.

  • Yep, but you still see a big ass block where the ad would be, which isn't the case in any other Lemmy app.

  • syncforlemmy ([syncforlemmy](/c/syncforlemmy@lemmy.world))

The above is a valid link format for linking to this community. It works on desktop and other Lemmy apps, it doesn't work on Sync.

  • you can mod users from other instances

  • Ads are blocked if you use something like NextDNS
