  • My 3080 mobile didn't work with anything but arch.

I love Linux but even I get fed up with it a lot. I do think that 90% of games work now though.

Everything driver related except my graphics cards have been great.

Just saying though, Linux isn't a drag and drop replacement, but it's still good

  • I'm not sure what you're saying? Those certs log to somewhere and in my experience HR is nowhere near technically literate enough to monitor and track that stuff.

Usually a manager asks a sysadmin to watch someone's stuff, then the sysadmin and manager tell HR what they find.

We had a contractor spending 90% of his day on reddit who got fired. Hr wouldn't have been able to pull this info since they don't have access to the system that tracks it

  • Yeah I am a software dev and was even confused for a bit. Reddit has /r/all and things that make it easier to find subreddits, I still struggle with lemmy sometimes. Sync made it a bit easier, but I wish I could seamlessly browse all instances and their comments under 1 profile

  • I host my own lemmy instance. Is there a way to get comments from other instances to show up?

I was able to subscribe to lemmy.world communities, but when articles show up it only shows comments from my instance (none)

  • I'm not scared of cities, but there is something to be said about being able to get away from people...

Riding my bike in the city is way more annoying than when I ride on a gravel/dirt road in the countryside with animals and scenery

Also those f150 dudes crack me up. I can count on one hand the number of those I've ever seen hauling anything
