  • I can easily foresee the drm services or servers being shutdown, like the Microsoft music server....most you bought can no longer be used if moved.

Eventually they will "retire" this model and shut down servers. Making the car maybe driveable, but won't have stuff you paid for I bet.

Plus, eventually someone will unlock this with a hacked car software patch anyway.

  • I'm a self taught child of the 80s that loved to mess around with basic and serial modems when I could finally get 1.

Honestly, I got my first job by low balling the salary and knowing my shit enough to answer questions.

After 1 year I went to a new position paying double. And so on and so forth.

  • What's frustrating is that most sites want your phone number. Even though it's less secure than totp, but that sweet sweet data using your phone number as a common index is irresistible

  • 100% this.

Freeze credit on the big 3 websites. I unfreeze when needed like when I financed my car, then lock them up again.

It is a pain, and be sure not to lose the passwords. Turn on MFA where ever possible. Do not use correct answers for secret questions, use made up answers and keep track with a pw manager.

Check your credit every year for mistakes or oddities.

If you live in California, contact data brokers like Lexus Nexus or Red Violet and have them delete your profile.

    God I hate modern society.
