  • I think they meant the sub where life is treated like a game, a very poorly designed game (almost as if there was no Designer, just people).

Things like, "I'm level 18, should I spec my character into the biochem, robotics, or software guild?"

Or "What's the cheat code for an affordable surgery?"

You get the idea. Life's a game. And it sucks. Stupid devs.

  • So I watched a video on its history and I agree about the devs. They seem like they are responsive, hard-working and passionate about their game.

It has come a long way. I'm still shocked I'm just now learning about it, and that it isn't more visible. It's exactly what I've been wanting to play for a long time.

I'd much rather play this than Battlefield or Call of Duty.

  • Alright, so I tried that exactly, plus mauricio, then plus red glasses and tamborine. I have now seen pages of images of this man in everything but that outfit, more of him than I ever wanted to, this Michael-Palin-lost-a-bar-fight who kinda looks like he steals from pensioners fella (I know nothing of his politics). I feel I could spot him anywhere now.

What I do have to report is Bing and DDG actually work. Google image search was surprisingly bad real quick.

Maybe my results are location dependent? Should I spoof my location then try again?

If he scrubbed this, then he would seem to be the exception to the Streisand Effect.

    Edit: Eric Idle. Wrong Pythoner.

  • So I've checked KnowYourMeme and had Lens try to identify this man to no avail. Where does this meme come from? Who is this guy?

Also, I found that superglue I was looking for a few days ago when I got a papercut. High five!

  • I'm with you. I've wanted more players, larger maps, and less emphasis on graphics (cause they've been pretty good) for awhile now. I think back on games that were fun and addictive: they weren't pretty but blocky. Yet it didn't matter.

Contemporary graphics are amazing, I admit. I also find it difficult to put a release date on any games from the last 5-8 years. They look pretty similar in graphics to my eye.

Am I wrong for being willing to sacrifice some graphic sophistication for the sake of say a 128v128 game in a destructible environment?
