I'm not staying here. I've been planning my exit from this shit hole and the people here for a few months. I'm a gay man who has simply had enough.

There's no saving these people. The good ones are leaving, the rest are some of the worst people in the country; they either are dismissive of what's going on or indifferent.

Why would I waste my time voting here when my vote literally means nothing? This is a traitor enclave.

These people don't give a shit about anyone who doesn't go to their church, which is very denomination exclusive. You can't make them be civilized.

I don't know where you're seeing "good people" in the South. I live in Tennessee and I have to endure hearing people every goddamn day talking about destroying the country just to get back at the "left."

It's the only place I've ever seen "Trump Stores." And these people are ravenous about a second civil war. I just refuse to engage in trying to save people who don't want to be saved. Fuck the lot of them.

One need only look at the state to realize it's a shit show. Nothing in the Bible belt is worth saving.

Because Israel has Christians all over the world giving them money, hand over fist, over myth and superstition.

The Christians think that supporting Israel will get them into "heaven" and the Israeli government has no issue taking that free money so long as no one tells the Christians that the Jews don't believe their Messiah has returned yet.

So what you have are Christians who all claim to be "pro-life" that are fully willing to allow actual genocide so they can get a "reward" for it when they die.

Nevermind the pesky details of a goddamn thing Jesus allegedly said about murder or treating the foreigner well. And let's not mince words here; the only source that says the Hebrews were from that part of the world is the Torah/Old Testament. They murdered the inhabitants once, they'll do it again. But this time they have funding from Western countries that have grown adults pretending that fairy tales are real. The present day nation of Israel was created in 1948 by people who didn't have the right to give someone else's country away, but that's what was done, and now Israel are the Nazis millions of good men died to protect them from.

I wonder why he bought Mar-a-Lago from Marjorie Post? Couldn't be that she was a collector of imperial Russian art, could it? How much of that ended up going to Putin over the years?

Don't forget, before he was attacking Disney and allowing actual Nazis with swastika flags to march outside of Disney World, DeSantis was lying about "training" Navy Seals in Iraq and torturing people in Guantanamo.

You should see the filth that home builders generate. That, and paint just gets poured out into ditches in a lot of cases. I've been in an adjacent industry for almost 20 years and I've seen it all.

Those people are out there. It's one of the main reasons I left Florida. A truck load of guys showed up outside my polling place in 2020 with AR's and they were asking everyone in line who they planned on voting for/if they were voting for Trump. The cops were called and they told the people who called that "as long as they weren't brandishing their weapons or threatening anyone" that nothing could be done. This was in the parking lot of a public library during voting; the cops chose to not do anything.

"Stand back and stand by" is all these people think about. They aren't making a move until Trump tells them to, but there's a non-zero chance that they start getting violent, similar to "the troubles" in Ireland in the 90's.

And our legal system fails us every single day Trump is a free man getting to flap his gums. We all know what we watched happen. We heard what he said, we saw what the aftermath was... If it was you or I, we'd be in solitary confinement yesterday.

There's a long damn time until November and I'm fearful, but there's not much I can do to change anything.

I was in Lawton for boot camp in 2001 and that brief amount of time was entirely too long.

I lived in Florida for a good portion of my life and if you can believe it, they're worse. Just terrible people that think they can be assholes without consequence. Seems like the South is just full of people who will look you in the eye to tell you what great "Christians" they are while simultaneously being the worst people they can be. And they're loud as fuck about it.

I'm gay and I can't even be "out" because I would lose my job and likely my apartment and maybe worse. I don't know of a State within traveling distance that isn't full of homophobes that are just itching to kill the LGBTQ, especially my trans brothers and sisters.

All I can do is point out the hypocrisy and that isn't even worth mentioning in the grand scheme of things.

Maybe one day "live and let live" will mean something again, but it won't come from the American South.

It's the only place I've ever been to that had two story single wide trailers... In tornado alley. That's the level of sophistication we're talking about here.

How can you expect ignorant hayseeds to comprehend the nuances of something like identity? The number of times I've had Trump supporters say something to the effect of "You just don't want to hear the truth. That's why you won't let the Nazis have a say" is exactly why they are having a hard time getting a lot of people on board with their policies. Sure, a lot of people in the South and the Midwest will be glad to go buy some new Doc Martin's and a new Hugo Boss outfit, but the question nobody seems to be asking is, "Why are the Christians so prone to jumping onto the Nazi bandwagon?"

I'm not saying to treat anyone bad. I'm saying give them exactly what they're begging for every day. Let them do it on their own. But once they get it, they've got it. Now they can figure it out on their own.

They want to talk shit, let 'em walk the walk.

My boss is a huge Trump supporter and was just saying to a customer that someone "delivered shit" to Nancy Pelosi's house and smeared it on her front door.

These fucking people don't want to be Americans anymore. It's time we oblige them. Do you know how fast the South would be a third world country (half of it already is, see: Tennessee) without money coming in from the federal government and the "Marxist" States they love to hate on?

Southern states keep begging for it though. And I, for one, say let them have it. Then flatly refuse to let them rejoin.
