  • Palestinians are literally starving to death because this administration gave your tax dollars to the AMIC to arm Israel for a genocide. The entire world sees what we're doing and abhors it. I don't pretend it would be somehow better under Trump, but this is not good by any definition.

  • A little out of left field, Miasmata from back in like the 2010's. It is pretty rough around the edges, and the special antagonist AI system was over-promised and under-delivered... But for a literal two-brothers dev team, the cartography system is solid, and the art is passable at worst and when the light hits the island just right, it's downright picturesque. I'd say it's worth your time if it's still available on steam.

  • I came to work today expecting to have to deal with PIP shit but as it turns out, both my boss and HR are WFH today, an accomodation I've been asking for for over a year. Funny how that shit works.

  • Seconding this, steam decks are great even if you have a good computer but travel a lot. Capable enough to run Elden Ring, portable enough to fit in a backpack under a seat on most airlines with a laptop as well. Charges off USB-C, proton backend with easy setup for clean emulation up through Gen 6, and probably higher if you like tweaking or aren't super concerned about performance.

  • I don't know if I could call it good, exactly, but one unique concept that I haven't really seen captured anywhere else was the Dungeon Maker series on PSP, that allowed you to build dungeons that you would then explore/fight/loot, to give yourself funds to build out further/deeper, ad infinitum. It was clunky, controlled pretty stiffly and basic as ARPGs go, and after a certain point you kind of went on autopilot, but there's a certain je ne sais quoi to it that I really quite enjoyed, especially if you planned out your builds. I think a similar title was released on the DS but it was turn-based and not particularly well-executed.

  • I mean, again, you're claiming if Republicans get rid of minimum wage then they'll have to come up with some state-sponsored plan to get Bob his shoes when the inevitable wage reduction makes shoes even more unaffordable. Republicans do not care. They will let Bob walk to work barefoot, starving, and destitute, until it eventually kills him, and the whole time claim Bob's well-being is his own responsibility, and if he can't manage his life on the wages that the free market provides, maybe he didn't deserve to live in the first place. This is the party that asks rape victims what they were wearing, and suggests that bulletproof backpacks are the answer to school shootings. They do not give a fuck.

  • Like that's the thing, nobody ever got attention for their cause by standing on the sidelines. The students on college campuses are lucky if they fill even one sheet with signatures, and ads are pointless because we've been so inundated with marketing that we've collectively learned to filter it out.

You know what gets eyes on your cause? Blocking roads. Being an impediment to someone else's routine. They won't like it, you probably won't either. But it fucking works.
