Probably doesn't help that, at the very least, there's a stigma about those jobs not being able to provide a comfortable living. I know I'd sweep floors if it paid $50 an hour.
I mean, I don't see a lot of sympathy here for the established musicians but the knock on effects of this are that up and coming artists can't get gigs either because nobody needs live musicians for an event anymore?
I mean, let's be clear, the U.S. isn't all that rosy either, wages tend to suck unless you're management or C-Suite and we get jerked around by employers with the lack of healthcare. We could use a steamrolling down here too.
Yeah, even with years of experience, LI has been my go-to for speccing out a build. They update pretty regularly and they offer tiers even without dGPUs that'll still hold up for last-gen gaming. Good way to introduce people to the basics of computing hardware.
Feels like an understatement - this was the game that killed Arkane, because a majority of the team decided they'd rather fuck off than work on whale chasing live-service nonsense. And like, good on them, but it means no more Dishonored, no sequels to Prey, no chance of Arx Fatalis II, and it fucking sucks to see enshittification strangling good talent. I hope they'll find success outside of MS' looming shadow.
I'm thinking I might switch, I'm only a casual user (Literally just for shitposting) but they changed how the brushes work as far as I can tell, and it's thrown me off.
Work still sucks. Still applying elsewhere. Still studying for the A+ cert. It feels hopeless. Even if I get the cert I'm still in competition with all these highly technical people who worked at like Google and Facebook.
