  • It's more about extreme actions done in the name of "protecting honor".

  • (18) I have some dictionaries and listened to music on a CD (because some of my devices had the ability so I had to try it).

  • Meh, don't need them to end an infestation. Just killing the few roaches that might exist somewhere around is enough to pay their rent.

If I find one close to my face on the other hand, the place it considered territory would be wiped off the map. It would become an endangered species.

  • I honestly wouldn't care if it stayed at one or two of them, but I know if I leave these things and treat them as pets I will get an infestation in no time.

And with each new one the chances of me feeling one of them walk on my arm increases, and I am not letting that happen.

  • Confess -> got a video of a "Hamas member" who works in the medical field confessing to whatever you want.

Doesn't confess -> torture him to death and don't share the story or simply increase the count of "Hamas militants" killed that you'll show later to journalists and other governments.

  • I completely agree. What I meant was: Anyone who wasn't too interested in the Palestinian cause might have thought it was possible, but now it's clear to everyone.

  • It seems the majority of people here actually believe that without Hamas Israel would just stop invading and pull out. This might have been wishful thinking a while ago, but right now this is called delusion, as we've seen what happens when you tell Israel you won't attack and are willing to cooperate for the benefit of both sides (Syria and Lebanon).

  • While I hope Hamas doesn't get to keep ruling Gaza, Uprooting the only government that has some weapons and is willing to point them towards the invading army instead of its people doesn't seem like an effective way to make life in Gaza better or safer. Just ask the West bank.

  • She wouldn't have built it. But would America have funded it? Absolutely. At least Trump is completely transparent about what would have happened regardless.

  • however there is a difference

There's not. Condemnations and calls to peace do nothing when the flow of weapons and financial support is left untouched.

  • It's not, though, as Harris wouldn't have changed much. The US would have supported Israel in this war whoever the president is. You think Israel would have let a Palestinian or an Arabic authority supervise Gaza after they did all the work of destroying it? Harris wouldn't have put any real pressure on Israel, and based on her campaign it seemed like even the little angry comments every now and then would also disappear.

A country that may have benefited from Harris being president is Lebanon for example, but for Palestine as a whole this was the plan since the beginning.

What you probably meant is this being about the US and it's unconditional support, not it's elections.

  • Why would the US want to abandon Ukraine and undermine NATO by threatening EU countries that "don't pay enough"?

  • I remember it using the API, which is supposedly disabled now. There are warnings on early Lemmy posts to use the tool before Reddit rolls out the changes.

  • #007986 -> #RRGGBB so greenish blue. If it has to be either blue or green, then it's blue.

  • Is that why Israel has to get the IDF to defend the Druze in Syria

Why does the IDF have to "defend" the Syrian Druze? The Syrian Druze have made it clear they don't want Israeli intervention in their affairs. And a deal was struck between general security and the Druze of Jarmana a few hours after Israel tried to make it seem like they were trying to defend the Damascene Druze.

The two largest militant groups in Suwayda have refused any Israeli intervention and plan on integrating with the army.

Seems your only bet are desperate militant groups that would side with whatever has the most weapons and funds. Try the SDF and the regime remnants.

  • I think the bot couldn't send DMs to KBin/MBin for some reason and now it's fixed. I got the message today too.

  • In Rust and lots of other languages you have to end each statement with a semicolon. The semi colon is usually placed right after the statement, but in this example there's indentation after each statement before the semicolon so they're all aligned.

There's also the curly brackets, they're padded in the same way, but those usually define where a scope (block) starts and ends making it even worse.

  • Or even better, just after they close the bathroom door.

  • (j/k. fuck no)

There's already an Egyptian and a Moroccan Wikipedia version. The Qalb language uses the Lebanese dialect. Don't give them ideas, the threat is real.

  • There's also Alef, which I thought was the only Arabic programming language 'till now.

Edit: after searching around, there seems to be lots of Arabic scripting and programming languages, most are discontinued:
