It is one way to do so, german youth also use several english terms or "Digga" which is a modified form of the word "Dicker" meaning fat. Although I am no linguist I would assume that Alter and Dicker were used in combination with Freund (friend) first since those are valid phrases that still are in use.
I would say no to that because there is a big difference between refusing to work for someone that holds a discriminatory ideology and refusing to work for someone that is some category of human they hate especially if they can't actually do something about being in that category like with skin colour or being LGBTQ+.
You can't be tolerant of intolerance if you call yourself tolerant.

It was less that we were poor and more that my parents had a lot of music and radio dramas on different media. Does it have to be a JRPG? If you want tactics in your turn-based games I recommend looking into cRPGs as the genre originally started as adaptions of tabletop games and has way deeper tactics compared to most JRPGs. Stuff like the Baldur's Gate games, Dragon Age, Wasteland, Divinity: Original Sin 1+2 or Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura are all turn-based or real-time with pause which work similar enough to count. As a plus point most of them allow you to be rather creative in the way you play from stuff like talking an opponent into killing themselves to turning opponents into chicken and letting them bleed out with another skill.
Well, Israel is a country thats kind of in a war and that is where the most propaganda gets spread. But if anyone "controls the media" it would be the big and powerful countries which in the "western world" is mostly just the USA and a bit of stuff from Russia. Since Irael is allied to the US it profits from their propaganda machinery.
